I have a few vintage 3 packs of Estes C11-7's that have apparently no reasonable purpose. I have yet to find or design a rocket that would work with them. Any ideas?

What about in a sustainer of a two stager?

Nailed it. That is the intended use of the long delay motors like the C11-7 and D12-7. You could also use them in a very light and long rocket. Longer rockets push the center of gravity forward which helps with stability as the motor makes the rear of the rocket heavy.

Kidding....I have somewhere a booster that I started and never finished for this. Weighs 6.7 ounces ready to fly sans motor. Maybe I should build the booster w/a 29mm mount, I do have some f15-0's? Looks like time for some sims...20181213_120106.jpg

I have used them in the Goblin and I also use them in the Estes Magician on smaller fields. The Magician is so light and slippery, it still does decent altitude on C11s.

The magician is great. Darn 1/4 mile on a BP E and so light it hangs forever

A actually use the whole line of C11s in most of my 24mm Estes stuff. The 7 delay is a bit much for some, but the lighter ones definitely work well with it.
