Thanks to Rocketry Forum Members:

I took a vacation for Thanksgiving in a very rural area. I was pleasantly surprised not have a complete blowout from the forum. There were not political fights, nasty infighting, or anything needing moderator intervention.

Besides catching the croup from a nephew, I had a very restful vacation. Thank you all for maintaining a family atmosphere for the holidays.

Never fear... there is always Monday...

Next time let us know in advance and we'll organise something. Perhaps a discussion about who uses what glue religiously .

I'm pretty sure I need to report that. Discussions of religious practices involving glue are BANNED!!1!

That one scares me and will definitely scar the user. Especially if it involves skin and copious amounts of CA glue.

Now that you're back and the holidays are over (for now) can we start misbehaving again please?

I wanted to start a post asking why glue users in south Florida seem to have such problems getting the glue to set properly? Seems like it always leans to one side. But I didn’t.

I think it's my fault. I didn't check in much since Wednesday.

With wood glue clean up is done with water. Thus...Humidity has much to do with dry time.
Here in Michigan, summer sometimes just isn't worth doing any gluing until the humidity drops.
In the winter time here, glue dries twice as fast because the air is so dry.
I'm not sure, but being next to so much salt water that salt in the moisture heavy air may also have some effect.
You might try sending an Email to the manufacturer of the glue your using and see what they have to say about it.

Take note on which way the glue leans. Towards, or away from the ocean.
I'm just curious on that one myself.

So I guess asking how many people in here would be offended by a “Nuke the Gay Dead Baby Whales for Jesus” bumper sticker is off limits? Lol - truth in advertising - that is a legit bumper sticker and no I don’t have one.

I think next time Chuck lets the inmates run the roost, it should be on what color glue you use to glue in your recovery cord, depending on how you swing, nylon or kevlar...and what incantations you use to keep it in place while it drys.....and wither the POTUS could tweet out helpful edicts on how to do it....
