I spoke to Jack about an hour ago to double check we could launch an H motor and indicated it shouldn't be a problem. We didn't discuss altitude but I was under the impression that whatever we've been using before should be a safe bet. Also, I see this on the DARS.org landing page:

Winds are expected to be under 10mph from the Southwest, then North so we can plan to fly a bit taller than normal. Say about 4.5K AGL (and pointing a bit south) for the High-Power action.

I plan to be at the launch this Saturday and will bring any order placed on our website by 8am Saturday morning. Just go to www dot Buy Rocket Motors dot com and select 'Pickup at Local Launch" during checkout. I do not have plans to bring any additional inventory as I'll be flying with my son for the most part (at least, that's the idea...). We have all of the Quest motors, Aerotech kits, and Jolly Logic altimeters and chute releases, in addition to the Aerotech motors shown.

Okay, so I stopped by the shop and loaded a few boxes of various motors into the SUV. I'll still bring anything that's ordered by tonight as well so if you need anything specific then order ahead of time. I'll primarily be flying but you can hunt me down. See you tomorrow!

Hope to see you and Countdown again. I case anybody didn't get the word tomorrow (Sunday) is cancelled due to the forecast.

We had a great turnout and a lot of great flights yesterday. And our old friends Nick and Jacob came out with some serious photo tech. Hope to see their fine work soon.

I am crushed right now with deadlines at my real job and my deadline for my aviation article! Post production on 1200 images from Sat. will take a few days.

Is this it? I had to resize the images, let me know if you want to full size images.

Looking forward to the 15th. Anyone planning anything special for the last launch of the year?

Watching the forecast. Any more rain on Thursday or Friday would be most unwelcome. Mud was a problem last month. Stay tuned.

Well I suppose it's my fault. I'm not sick and I don't have any plans this Saturday so naturally the launch is cancelled.

i wandered into this forum by chance, i didn't know you attend the DARs launches and bring orders with you :)

(I'm Chad, sorry about canceling on the meetup last time)

Hey Chad. Not sure if I'll be able to attend the next launch yet. Are you going to the next DARS meeting? I doubt I'll be there but I could probably have a fellow member courier it. PM me for further discussion. Thanks.

Sunshine, calm winds, good turnout (rocketeers and cows) made the start of 2019 at Gunter a great success.

Had a great time Saturday flying after way too many years off and a few weather delays. Met many fine rocketeers and received fantastic help and advice on new techniques and motor usage. Thank you Jack for helping me re-certifying L1 and now it's on to L2 asap. My son had three successful flights F/G and will go for his L1 soon.

It felt good to be flying again ... Thank You DARS!

Super nice weather yesterday and another nice one today it looks like. Congrats on the l1 jmwoody!

Awesome. I was, where else, at a pool on Saturday morning. The only thing better than launching rockets is cheering on my two favorite athletes. I'll be back at the field...someday.

That was my first launch in almost a year. I sure picked a good one for my return.

Thanks to the officers and crew who set-up. Mostly- Special thanks to George. He made the call that the launch would be a go even though the early week forecast was a for 27 degree start, 15-20 mph winds and a chance of rain.

Somebody upstairs is being good to our brand spanking new President.

We are “go” for Saturday Feb16. Expect mud and a low cloud ceiling and lots of TARC practice.
