Bet that flight was a "crowd pleaser"! Those 2 grain 38 motors are perfect for this rocket.
Lift-off shots are great...tons of fire & smoke. Marvin the matron would give it his seal of approval.
Wow I am so late to the party, not sure how I missed this thread last year. CJ please add me to the list if Charlie ever does another run of these. What a beauty!
I didn’t see this thread last year either. His website is down so it looks like their not in business anymore. CJ you could put me down on the list too I’d Charlie is going to make another run.
It’s vert hard for small part time hobby businesses to survive. We have this issue in th RC model airplane world too. A hobbyist comes up with a cool idea or kit. They think that they can make a few dollars as a side business. Maybe the few extra dollars will offset their hobby spending. Then they see how much time it takes up. Real life gets in the way and they have to give up the part time business.
I talked to Charlie a couple of months ago. He is due to graduate and join the workforce. I suspect he may have less time to build kits for us, but I will mention the interest if CJ doesn't.
Jim - I really wanted to use the BBQ paint you recommended but couldn't find it anywhere locally
Bob - That was an H motor. Not even sure I could stuff a J motor in it & if I could it would be flying with no recovery It is packed pretty tight on the 38-240 case & 30" chute. If I had to guess, probably somewhere in the order of 1000' or more.
Yea thats what I meant, what you said. I saw you posted the name somewhere but couldn't find it & BBQ came to mind . I looked at Wallyworld & Ace they only had black BBQ.
