I got decals and plans from Excelsior, then after I built it I couldn't find the original decals. Was surprised given the fin area that this went unstable once it was about 50 feet off the pad. Will add a bit of nose weight next time.20181111_152214.jpg 20181111_152219.jpg 20181111_152222.jpg 20181111_152228.jpg 20181111_152232.jpg

There is so much I like about this photo...
  • zoomie headers on a rocket
  • Simpson Mending Plates used as deflectors
  • homemade wooden launch platform
And as for the video... love the color commentary.

Well done all around sir ;)

Better a late ejection, than no ejection at all. That is what I always say......o_O
LOL. I did fly it again with a bit of nose weight and a C6-5. I am guessing it got to around 500 feet with ejection at Apogee. Even with a light wind it went just over the north border of my launch field (fortunately not into somebody's back yard.)

It's a nice flyer, somewhat surprising given the unusual aerodynamics.
