Finished up Dr. Zooch's Freedom 7 kit last week. Patience is definitely warranted here with this one - especially with the LES! Like the way it turned out! Wish you could still get kits from the Doctor!

Here's my 1/13th scale Redstone. One of the last ones sold by Polecat. Still hasn't flown.

last week I created a 3d printed capsule for the Estes MR kit (2", kit #1921). Its for flying only, save the nice one you painstakingly built from the kit for display.

Boyce Aerospace 1/100 Mercury Redstone.
0728200532[1].jpg

Broke and repaired the tower twice and it hasn't even maidened yet.
Might sub balsa cone for flights.
0728200559[1].jpg

Motor needs to be loaded from the top of the fin can due to scale accurate fins.
0728200601[1].jpg
Mini engine powered.
Lots of bang for the buck.

Gee, another place to post my Estes Mercury Redstone! :D

My oldest son and one granddaughter (who is pretending she is a rocket!) stand by as my dear beloved wife hits the button:
DSCN4882_Moment(2)cr.jpg
My son built that pad about 30 years ago, based on the description I gave him of the one that I'd built when I was a kid. We launched something he built off of it once. but this is the first thing I've built in almost 50 years.
