To all fliers,

Please take a few minutes and check the volunteer page. We have had a few people (who were set to volunteer MANY time slots have to back out for family emergency reasons.

We will need as many volunteers as we can get. This is a big event and it isn’t possible to run without volunteers.

On behalf of QCRS, I personally think each and every one of you who has signed up to volunteer and thank you in advance to those who plan to fill a few more slots.

We are less than one week away and I couldn’t be more excited to see you all, catch up with friends and fly some rockets.

That reminds me of a time many moons ago when Wildman had a jart sale with motor on the field and you had to fly it. Crazy JIm helped my daughter who was very young build it with 5 min poxy. She was a small fry then know in collage, were did the time go? Were driving but I am sure well buy some stuff out there. Cant wait leaving Thursday.

Same... It's been a busy month for the wife and I -- got married a little over two weeks ago, nothing but chaos before and after, and then the loss of a canine companion for the two of us this past weekend. It has been a rough week thus far. We will likely take this weekend to recharge. I will miss seeing friends at the launch and the smell of AP in the morning. Next year!

Well unfortunately I can't make it this year. I removed my name from the volunteer lists. I told Jason to give my banquet tickets away. I had 2 so hit him up if you need one.

Its Getting near 4 am time to throw some clothes in a sack, The wheels and friends will be picking me up soon for the drive. Cant wait to see everyone.

Retirement is kind of busy so far. Political rally in Murphysboro last weekend. Got hotel reservations in Princeton this weekend. Hope to see some flights. Is the banquet sold out?

Same here. Should be out there doing the setup but family health emergency (not me) came up.
Another single banquet ticket is available. Kurt (Geez this hospital is cold!)

Were close stopping at the Cajun Connection for a snack a roo was told it is really good. We have been traveling from the east and in heavy rain all day. But it just stopped and the roads are dry. We like dry Wildman must have spoken to the rain gods.

Parking on the north field . Rain in the forecast for Sunday. If the rain moves in on Saturday night, we will have to vacate the field for Sunday

God Bless the rocket people! Smokey skies and successful recoveries for the lot of you! Wished I was there. Day one looks like it's going to be really decent weather for you. Kurt

I wish I could make it. Work has been crazy, my Dad had surgery ( he is ok) yesterday, and my Wife was in a car accident Wednesday ( she is also ok). Sometimes life gets in the way of fun. Fly high and safe.

Unfortunately I’m out as well - I’ll be day dreaming of loud sparkies, great people and high fliers.

Thank you Jason and the rest of the QCRS guys and gals for a fun time Thursday and Friday. Carmen and I really enjoyed it.

Awesome pics. Thanks for taking the time to shoot and post
