Cleaned, trimmed, measured and weighed some grains. Got our "Not Your Wimpy Red" in 54 and 75mm. Worked up a new formula (to us) with Pat G. I think we will call it Spongebob Sparkie. Pat convinced us it is time to move up to 98mm loads, so we cast 45 inches of "Wayside White" for the new casing he found for us. We also cast 10 inches of the new sparkie mix in 98, who knows what will happen with that.... IMG_1617.jpg

Other people's dish racks look like this too.....right?

I think you're gonna need a bigger dish rack....

Repaired an Estes Conquest.

Finally achieved a successful ejection test on my 2” Frenzy, and decided it needs some charge wells. Not wanting to go out and buy some, I made my own out of what I have on hand!

A .45ACP casing works great!

Also got some work in on my first low power flyer in years...

I got some new carbon plate this week. So the last few days I have been working on a 29mm. I even tried my first fin guide. While wondering around at hobby lobby. looking for foam board I found some different pearls. So I gave them a try on this build.IMG_3430.JPG

Bay Area Rocketry is doing an L3 cert special motor combo, so I jumped on that and ordered an M1315W for use next year.

Wow! That sounds like a really good deal! Do they have a M1550R combo at all? :)

And yes, they do... I bit the bullet bright and early this morning on that combo! My L3 is getting more and more real every day!

Yesterday (14 OCT 18) I started building an Estes Protostar for a family friends child to hang from his ceiling (planting a seed). It's going to be strictly for display, no MMT.

I also got my Estes Nike Smoke's airfoiled rail guides (Jack L. Hydrazine's design) mounted. It's ready for pain on the body tube then final assembly.

(sorry, I didn't have the camera with me, so no pics...but I will next time! ;))

While I realize that you aren't as old and forgetful as some of us, I would suggest that you mark the casing with what motor/delay is inside and maybe the date built.
I usually do this with a piece of painters tape so I can easily remove it before use. Also storing it in a zip type bag will shield it from humidity.

Very wise advice. I usually put it in a bag with the instructions.

Dry fitted the parts for an Estes 1/100 Saturn 1B clone, using readily available tubes instead of those dang @#$$&%$#@ specialty tubes that came with the original kit.

Looks OK so far.

Why do the specialty tubes get special characters?

Was there something wrong with fitment on the tubes as to why you are cussing them?
