Scratch Building Material

I've been looking through many catalogs and looking up the pdf plans on many sites.
I've got a lot of building supplies, so I plan on doing a bunch of scratch building over the next several months.
Problem I am running into is sourcing heavy card stock.
The waste pieces from centering rings will work for some small pieces.
But I'm looking at needing A10 or Letter size of that same thickness.
Does anyone have a source for this thick of card stock?
Also, I'm still looking for Canopy Templates. I remember them being posted before but the search hasn't helped so far. If you have them, or can point out the thread...It would be Greatly Appreciated!

For Centering rings, I either glue two or three layers of 90# printing paper together, or use matt board from Hobby Lobby. A bundle of this is less than $10 - a *lot* of centering rings. Also good for cardboard fins.

I have tons of centering rings. They come in a pair on rectangle shaped card stock.
I need that same thickness, or maybe just a hair thinner, for some builds I'd like to do.
But I need it in A10 or Letter (8.5" x 11") size sheets, and a place to purchase some.
When a hobby shop was going out of business some years back, I bought all the motor mount kits they had.
Also all the paper reducer kits they had, along with various other building parts.
I figure it's time to use some of that stuff up before I get too old.

for transitions I use #110 cardstock (last time I bought some I got it from Walmart). if I want it thicker I'll double up the transition.

Rex is right; it's 110# card stock from WalMart I use. Yellow package, Georga-Pacific.

Woody, there are lots of sources of this thickness paper if you're willing to scrounge for them. Non-corrugated cardboard boxes, sign material, all sorts of stuff. Got a print shop or a sign shop nearby? Go visit and explain what you're looking for, they might just give you some. All sorts of places use cardboard boxes, then just throw them away. I warn you, though, scrounging can be addictive. If you ask around, people will start giving you stuff. Then more stuff. Then you turn into a hoarder. Don't even ask me why there are so many cardboard tubes around the house...

Local office supply store sells 110 card stock by the sheet and chip board in there copy center. I work at one and bring lots of cardboard from unpacking the merchandise. One of the perks. Also use the copy center to print decals (labels) for many projects.

I'm buying some

I've found cardstock at my local comic book store. They use as backboard that they put into sleeves to keep comic books in good condition. The stuff I found worked perfect.

I was hoping for white semi gloss finish, but glue will bite into this better.
Looking at their prices...

It would be cheaper to order 5 single sheets (which can be done in the qty window).
Although, I'm looking at getting about 25 sheets.
Might as well get enough for many more future projects rather than just the one I have on my mind at the time.

Sounds good. But I'm not sure when I will have the money?
I'm on the hook for $38 the first of the month with Sandman.
So it will be at least a month from then.
