We didn't produce many of the SLS kits at a time because they were not great sellers. Of course, after announcing the closing here in NC, we sold out in a matter of days.

If you’re just after the LOOK of the Brighton the latest release of the Estes Super Big Bertha would be a good start - if you’re after repro-ing one then not so much, the SBB doesn’t have plywood centering rings or the thicker walled body tubes of the Semroc SLS kits.

If you're willing to spend the money, all the parts for a clone are at erockets. Use the parts list on the last page of the instructions.

I've always wanted a Brighton. I've always been too poor.
I guess now I'll be cloning one.
May I suggest Blue Tube, which I plan to use.
Also, Cygnus MM from Uncle Mikes. I've used several including clusters and they are quite sturdy.
Good luck with you build, and as always, post pics!

I want the SLS Brighton more for its interchangeable MMTs and can transist from LPR, MPR to HPR.
I did look into the Estes SBB and found out that it most likely wouldn't be able to perform as I would want to. Mostly the surface attached fins seemed a bit sketchy to run anything over Fs.

I did the pricing for cloning and it came to $138 and there would be no pattern sheet.

Update: FOUND

Someone on YORF has one NIP reasonably priced.
Thank you all for your help, support, and imput.

Awesome - I haven’t started my SLS Lazer-X yet but I did open the package and check out the parts, very nice stuff from Semroc, as usual. Quick clarification - Estes SBB has TTW fins. Luckily the fillets covered my less than stellar tube slotting skills.

Heck yeah!
I didn't know that. I must have been looking at the wrong build threads.
Does the SLS Laser-X have interchangeable MMTs?

It can, mine doesn’t. Evidently at some point the interchangeable MMT system became an option - mine is a 29mm version. I didn’t buy it directly from Semroc or eRockets - matter of fact I don’t recall where I bought it other than it was an online purchase and I paid way less than list price. Thinking about buying the dual 24mm mount kit from eRockets, it’s only $5.50.

Not sure what type of fin mounting the prior version of SSB had - mine’s from the current batch.

Uncle Mikes has them at $4.25 HERE
I've used several of there cluster mounts, including the 3x 18mm for my Scrambler Scratch Build.
Rest of the parts came from eRockets.
If you check out his sale page, he has a lot of BT-26 stuff on sale.

The cluster mounts from Uncle Mike's are good, but they are not interchangeable like the Semroc SLS motor mounts. Semroc utilizes an ingenious method of slotting the centering rings and the fin tabs so that you can insert the mount past the fin tabs and twist lock it in position. That is why the SLS Laser X and SLS Brighton are so expensive: they come with multiple interchangeable motor mounts. The SLS Hustler, Aero Dart, and Explorer also had the same system, with optional extra mounts.

Downside is, you had to assemble the fins and mount very precisely to get the fit right. If you accidentally drop glue in the wrong location it might interfere with the smooth operation of the twist lock. If your fins aren't perfectly aligned, the mount will not slide into place. Good kits to pick up building experience.

Maybe the Brighton was changed ? My model did not have the twist lock mounts like the Aerodart. It had mounts made with couplers that slid into the body and were secured with engine hooks 180 degrees apart. Mine failed after multiple uses and I eventually glued the single 24 mount into the model.
