After fixing all the damage that could be fixed from throwing things in boxes when the fire happened...
I went to the storage and retrieved my box of spray paints.
Wouldn't ya know it...No Primer...
I am now where I was at last year.
Do I keep building? (Probably to just end up in boxes getting damaged)
Or just sit in front of TV?
So, which brings me a question for all of you.
What primer do you all use?
I had bought out K-Mart when they were closing their doors some years back of Fresh & Fast.
It was enameled base, fast dry. Not a high build, but I didn't need it for that.
Never had a lifting or veebeling problem with any of my top coats after wet sanding w/ 400 grit.
My top coats include Color Place, Rust-Oleum and Krylon.
Depending upon who made the color I was looking for.
Thank You Kindly

Most of the time I use Dupli-Color high build. Otherwise, I use primer of the same brand as the color coats.

The automotive Rustoluem primer I tried on an MPR Extreme 12. The rattle can kind.

I use Krylon. Walmart has a 25% bonus size can.

I also use the Krylon from Wal-Mart. Bigger can for about $3.84.

Plus... It dries pretty fast. Sand good with 400 grit without loading up to bad. And they say you can recoat ANYTIME...

Spot filler with white and gray Krylon. Shows the layers when sanding.

Rustoleum Automotive primer has been great for me. Duplicolor also excellent, but more spendy.

I seem to enjoy the build more than anything else. The problem is sooner or later you run out of room to store naked rockets. As you said, they get thrown in a box and damaged.
I was at WallyWorld yesterday and grabbed some gloss white Rusto 2in1. Maybe that will give me the incentive to start painting the dozen or so I have sitting around. Course they are still going to take up valuable real estate when painted....

The only $1 spray cans that I know of are bottom shelf black or white at Lowes. Actually below bottom shelf, in cut boxes on the floor.
