When we're on the road The Wife rolls her eyes every time we pass a large field. She knows I'll look at it longingly and mutter "At least J/K/L/etc. capable."

I definitely evaluate every grass field I see. I have learned to keep my mouth shut though. ;)

I'm also perpetually evaluating the weather, even on days when I'm not flying. If it's a beautiful day with a breeze, I'll get annoyed and think how that breeze is ruining an otherwise perfect launch day.

It's a disease, I think.

Yep, I used to do that constantly, to my wife's annoyance. But once I settled into flying with MDRA, I don't do it any more. Nothing seems big enough.

I strongly suspect that many of us can relate to what a good friend of mine, who went from small models to O-power flights, said:

"I used to look at a tube and say "Hm, that would make a nice body tube.
A few years later I'd look at the same size tube and say "Hm, that would make a nice motor mount.
Now I look at that tube and say "Hm, that would make a nice launch lug." ;)

When your friend says, “That would hold my igniter in place”, he’s going to need a bigger field.
