Hello everyone!

I am a new kit vendor coming to the market. I am creating fiberglass kits for any skill level and rocketry level out there. Whether you are new to the world of mid-high power rocketry, or have been launching HPR for 20 years I have the kit for you, or can upscale anything to your preferences. My aim is to offer excellent customer service, and ship orders the same day if purchased before noon mountain time. My website is still under construction, but here are some 3D illustrations of the kits I will initially be offering:

Nice.
Good luck to you sir. I particularly like the Hedgehog and Angelfire.

These are some nice fresh designs, nicely done. Will be in the line for a purchase somewhere, price being important to me...

Thank you! I particularly aim to make kits that are wild and out of the ordinary, while still being affordable. These are just the first batch of kits that I will be making. Once I get my website set up I have many more designs that I would like to share. Once I get pricing worked out for these kits I will share that on here.

Hello peeps,
I have some designs that I would like to share and get some input on. I want to make kits that people like and I want you, the consumer, to have an input on. I absolutely love rocketry and have been interested involved with it since I was seven years old. I love designing new rockets. I can spend all day just designing rocket after rocket. I want to see what you people think of them, and get your feedback.

Here is a design I've been working on:

Let me know what you think.

I am planning on being at NARAM this year and I am trying to have kits available then. I will be posting new designs every day to show you what I am hoping to provide, with your support and input. I normally go to NCR and SCORE launches. My name is Matthew Slater. I will be arriving in a grey Toyota Rav 4. Feel free to come and talk to me, or if you don't come to those launches feel free to call me at (720) 431-6796 or email me at [email protected]. I don't know the next specific dates I will be going to any launches, but I hope sometime soon. I will post here to let people know about specific dates.

Hey there, here's an idea for launches. Get an $85 easy up or borrow one, and make some sort of banner to hang on it. Let's people know from all over the field that you're a vendor and open for business. Need some help getting going, take pre-orders on a couple kits, do a good job on them, listen to the buyers recommendations, and then ask for their feedback for your website. Your designs look great, now we need to see a solid business grow too :)

All the best

Thank you for you recomendations! I am working on a banner design and I am hoping to go to a launch with it sometime soon. I'm waiting on my prototypes from madcow rocketry. I'm going to build them to show to people. I'm working on building the website. Hoping to have it done this month.

Thanks,
Matthew

looking forward to your offerings..

As for your 'go fund me' page, maybe you want to offer a bit more incentive than just a 1:1 dollar to store credit.. (or at least, that's how I read it..) Something like, say, 10% discount on first purchase with every $20 donated.. or, a free limited edition kit for every $100 donated (+purchase)..

Do you have Beta testers for your designs & instructions?

I am not a fan of Go Fund Me, however I would have supported your efforts if you had used Kickstarter and offered a kit (reward) for a pledged amount. I like several of your designs and will be in line to purchase when you are setup to take orders.

I was thinking something along those lines. Right now I am really focusing on getting my website done with placeholder images of the kits in Openrocket. I am working with Madcow Rocketry for the tubes and nosecones, and Upscale CNC for fins, centering rings, and bulkplates. I have the G10 for the first set of kits, I'm just waiting on the prototype kits from Madcow. It has been delayed because of shipment of nosecones he is waiting on. I have asked him to just send me what he has so I can start building them. I will post build threads for them as well, so keep an eye out.
As for the beta testing, I am going to have some people look over the instructions and edit them, but I will be building and flying my rocket kits to make sure they are stable, and the parts are of the correct dimensions.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like Go Fund Me. It was the first crowdfunding platform I thought of when I got the Idea. I can look into it. Thank you for for your feedback and your support.

Hello all,

I would like to announce an update on the GoFundMe. First of all, thank you so much to my first donor!!! The sendond thing is that I have changed the reward for helping fund this endeavor of mine. Anyone who helps me get started by donating $30 or more, whether through pre-ordering a kit or supporting me on GoFundMe will receive a 5% off coupon for life. This coupon will be able to be applied to ANY order you make. Whether it is today, or five years from now. As well as a one time use 10% off coupon for every $100 given. This is on top of you getting your money back in the form of store credit. This is being offered as a token of my gratitude for helping me get started. I hope this reward for helping me seems fair. For those of you who would prefer to pre-order kits you can contact me through the email [email protected].

I will be posting kit prices tomorrow.

Thanks,
Matthew

I will be going to the Tripoli Colorado launch in Hartsel on Sunday June 1. I will have a banner so you can easily identify me. Looking forward to talking to people there!

The Tripoli Colorado launch has been canceled due to fire danger. Luckily NCR has a launch on the 6th, 7th and 8th in the Pawnee National Grasslands. I should be there on Saturday around noon and Sunday all day. I will have the some sample parts with me, and possibly a partially, or fully built Delta.

Thanks to everyone who talked to me at NCR this past weekend, I had a great time! I have some good news. Falcon Rocketry has been officially registered as an LLC. This means I am officially the owner of a rocket company. Now all I need is to get kits in to sell. I have the Delta prototype built, it just needs some paint on it. I should have some pictures of it up soon as well as my website should be up very soon. Remember, if you want one of my kits be sure to order it now. I am only able to make very limited runs of kits for now so they will sell out quickly. Remember that any kit order placed between now and August 1st will have a 5% off discount, and you will get 5% off for life on any future purchases of kits!
I have a secret project in the works, so stay tuned for that.

I thought I might upload some more pictures of my designs. These are rockets I hope to make into kits in the future. None of the designs are final, I just want to show what kind of kits I want to make.

Let me know which designs you like and which ones you don't. I am open to feedback and want to know what you want from your rocket kits.

Looks good... I like that Angelfire. Perhaps if you had actual photos of a baseline assembled kit (e.g. hand laid NC, single deployment), it'd look better. Also stats (total length, body tube diameter/composition, motor diameters/sizes, fin materials, etc.), as well as photos of the actual unassembled kit, would be a good idea for the website.

I'd love to see accessories (DD kits, nosecones, rail buttons, retainers, parachutes, etc.) listed (those included in kits, as well as a separate purchase (perhaps I'd like to upgrade my nosecone to filament wound at some day).

I am working on getting my prototype kits shipped to me and building them, so the images there are just placeholder. Right now I am focusing on just getting my kit designs sold, but I intend to branch out to other products. My goal is to sell any components you might need for your rockets.
My bad on the lack of information on the kits listed. I already fixed those.

Looks great! What is the maximum 54mm motor length?

Edward
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. The motor mount is 14" long whether it is 38 or 54 millimeters. I have an order of my initial production kits coming in and there aren't 54mm mounts available in it. I will be eventually selling it, but I want to test the design on a J motor to make sure flutter isn't an issue. If you would like a 54mm version I can get it for you though. Just send me a private message.

I’m a sucker for split fins, and I like your use of negative space. Build pile already deeper than wife knows, but will be keeping an eye out!
