Looks like it's coming soon! More scale stuff!

While very pleased to see the Little Joe 1 coming out. I'd rather see all those extra Mercury capsules going on top an Atlas.

Never know, maybe we'll see both. The new owners of Estes are certainly hitting the ground running with some exciting new and re-releases. Personally I'd love to see the Titan make a comeback.

I'm going to guess that we will soon see a Saturn V re-release, what with the upcoming 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. A return of the Saturn 1B would also be nice!

or simply known as, back in the day, just "Little Joe"

Well, LJ-1 was the first test of the Little Joe flights.

"NASA’s Orion spacecraft is scheduled to undergo a design test in April 2019 of the capsule’s launch abort system (LAS), which is a rocket-powered tower on top of the crew module built to very quickly get astronauts safely away from their launch vehicle if there is a problem during ascent. This full-stress test of the LAS, called Ascent Abort Test 2 (AA-2)..."

Why can't they come up with a better name for the Orion LAS Ascent Abort test, like Little Joe III, or Hoss? Would be really cool to see Estes capitalize on the current crop of NASA rockets for scale model subjects, like the Orion & SLS. Challenge: get one of these kits on the shelves before NASA launches theirs!

"For Exploration Mission-1, NASA’s first integrated flight test of Orion atop the powerful SLS -- the abort system will not be fully active since astronauts will not be inside the spacecraft. NASA is working toward a December 2019 launch for EM-1."
