Wunderground is showing 10% risk of precip on Friday and 80% Saturday and Sunday in Princeton. Prepare for on road parking like stated and I hear Tim likes Jagermeister if you run out of saucers to fly.
I hope the weatherman was using windowpane when doing the prediction and is wrong. Kurt
Heck, if the ceiling is still above 10kft, what flyer or rocket will melt with a little rain?

From the Ether...

Fourteen hours at work-

Three different stores to visit on the one hour drive home...

ALL "The Twinkage" I could round up, including *NEW* Twinkie Ice Cream Cones! :p

Seemed too be alot of Bo-nan-ah Twinkies (yuck:puke:) sitting on the shelves-

"Indiana! :D We may be an hour ahead of you ;) but, were 2 years behind the present!"

Better save me a Twinkie! - Oh yeah, what was that one candy you like - Sour something???

It is beautiful, Sabrina. I suggest...

NEBULA - Named after the Latin word for “cloud”, nebulae are not only massive clouds of dust, hydrogen and helium gas, and plasma; they are also often “stellar nurseries” – i.e. the place where stars are born.

and as an extra, two for the price of one, meaning - From Guardians of the Galaxy, Nebula is a Luphomoid assassin, an adopted daughter of the intergalactic warlord, Thanos and as well the adopted sister of Gamora.

Winner!

Nebula it is!

Rain Rain go AWAY! - The Weather Man needs to be wrong today, (and Saturday and Sunday). :( :(

~ Hope to fly NEBULA on Friday for my NAR Jr L1 and Tripoli M1. :dark:
~ Mom wants to fly her Wildchild - probably on an E or F to make recovery easy.
~ Dad is looking to go supersonic and 2 miles high with a K-Powered 2.6" Competitor.

Mom and I are loading most of the stuff in the car tonight. We'll leave tomorrow morning so we can "stake-off" our little piece of the shoulder ahead of time.

~ Dad is still building "Night" rockets. :p Maybe I'll put up a video if he gets them done. :flyingpig: If we can't launch Saturday night due to the weather, maybe we'll bring one or two to the Banquet just for show. Better bring sunglasses just in case!:y: :surprised:

And Speaking of Banquet, has anyone considered using a PA to announce the raffle instead of "screaming" (and we still don't hear ya) ~ just sayin'

~ Startin' to get excited about this now!!! ;)

"Flying Unicorn (cosmic kind) under young adult, legally licensed..." :D

:eek::eek::eek: Your not right. :eek::eek::eek:

Close... Rumple Minze. The god awful peppermint on steroids stuff is slightly better than Jagermeister, and slightly worse than a kick in the crotch... :puke:

Arg...Every time I look at the forecast for Saturday, the chance for rain goes up 10% more. :p

On the plus side, the wind forecast has gone down now. The afternoon will be 4 mph winds. Fantastic. Now, if we can just avoid the 20% rain chance in the afternoon.

At least it will be warm water! Kurt

I was hoping someone would comment on the weather...all the forecasts make Saturday and Sunday look rough ( mine was saying 80% chance of rain possible thunderstorms, sure hope that's wrong ) has any one heard if all is on? Rain dates?

Its on like Donkey Kong!!!

In all seriousness just got back home from helping set up the field everything looked great, all the Corn and Beans around are down. And everything is a GO!!! Hopefully the weather gurus are wrong for sat and sun but no matter what it will be a good time!

As others have said, the weather will be there and so will we! We can hope the weather cooperates; but it'll be a great time regardless!!!

Who's afraid of the little R word?

Plus, wet rockets make for some neat liftoff shots!

Hey, gotta be positive! Can do attitudes, here!:)

Just got my L3 rocket prepped- and it seriously needs a bath (and paint, and some sanding on the fillets, etc). So bring on the rain! (and clear skies)

Thanks guys
Looking forward to it....and my rocket needs a bath anyways 🤣

All dressed up and nowhere to go...

Was prepping to get down there but that whole "Life Thing" keeps getting in the way.

Semper Fly Folks!

Fly your buns off today guys. Rain is not expected. For Princeton, it's 80% on Saturday and 80% chance for rain on Sunday. Maybe can get some more cool pictures like Eric posted above. Kurt

The hourly forecast for Saturday looks like the mid afternoon won't be too bad. Down to a 10% chance of rain from 3 to 5.
Ill get in today later afternoon. No flying for me today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Otherwise, there's always mini MWP for my cert.

That's the attitude to have! If the weatherman was on hallucinogens doing the forecast and it turns out great, do the cert. If not, wait until you are satisfied with the venue and weather. Good luck! Hope the WX holds out!
Local Weather: https://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a/QCRS&timerange=3600&tail=3600 Click on "show all" on the right and WX stations will show up. Can see reasonably current local conditions then. Kurt

Cardboard rockets are not so amenable to water! Kurt
Depends on how well you paint them. Had my LOC Phoenix on the pad at Airfest for close to 3hrs through a couple of rain showers. Zero moisture penetration.

Yeah but................ Better not land open ended into a modestly deep puddle!

I recovered a cardboard Estes Eliminator from standing corn that had been out there for 6 months. I actually was going after another rocket 6 months after I lost the Eliminator and stumbled into it. Was happy 'cause I got the chute and the RMS motor
case back. Cardboard was mush though so just the NC was usable. I did also find the rocket I just launched too. Kurt

That's true.

I just saw Vern's Saturn V fly on a M1850 and 4 L850's equaling an O motor. I was practically there to see it fly, well, not quite, I saw it from Aero-Tech's FB live video!! :)

Thanks,
