It's officially July 4th here in China...
Happy 4th of July Everyone!
God Bless our Servicemen and Servicewomen! Past, Present, and Future!

Happy Independence Day!

Brexit 1776... I like. Amexit? Amerexit??

Next year I'm going to celebrate the 4th in a small town in southern MN that does it right! The whole town comes out to celebrate night and day with parades, block parties, food vendors in the park, and of course the big fireworks show at the end. Never been to a better fourth.

Where is that? I grew up in New Ulm, MN; home to the country's second tallest copper clad statue (the Statue of Liberty is the tallest).

Blooming Prairie. Halfway between Owatonna and Austin. I spent many summer breaks there as a kid.

A young friend of mine (Josh Kern) took this photo last 4th of July.

Nothing like Saturn V with fireworks around it.

Why yes. And if the Founding Dads had failed, we'd all be speaking English!

Funniest post of the day. I like it.

To celebrate July 4th, I'm wearing a new shirt for the first time.

Commemorates Huntsville’s history as the Rocket City and NASA’s manned launch vehicles. The white stripes with rockets and smoke trails are Mercury Redstone, Gemini-Titan, Saturn-IB, Saturn-V, Space Shuttle, and upcoming SLS. OK, so Huntsville did not have involvement with Atlas, Redstone put Huntsville on the world stage, and Gemini-Titan needed to be on there. And 50 shuttle orbiters as the stars:

If anyone is interested in getting one, call the US Space & Rocket Center at: 1-800-637-7223.
They have them in white, blue, and red.

A bit bittersweet seeing Robin Williams, but this was a great routine.

From 1982, Robin Williams as the American Flag.
