epoxy 002.jpg finishing touches on Honest John, I glued the 60 mm stand offs on the body with Rocket Poxy. I was like this will never hold. I smacked the standoff/rail button with a hammer it ain't going anywhere. Has 40' of shock cord in it. I will load the J500 with a delay charge just so it does not come home ballistic. I built it, now I have to go out in front of people and fly it.

Awesome!

I ordered two Estes Mini Max kits that were on clearance sale at Hobbylinc for a little over $4 each. Since I had to pay shipping, I added a Mega Der Red Max to make it feel like I wasn't getting gouged! They arrived today -- I just ordered at end of last week! Great service.

My inventory stands at 128 kits ...

Hooked up a battery and was slightly surprised to find that, after weeks of careful building, MY EGGFINDER IS WORKING! Now I will feel a bit more comfortable with pushing for a mile....

I spent time cleaning up motor files and such in my files, and on Thrustcurve. These will be updates and corrections of AT motor files.

Some of the files on Thrustcurve were way off. I did not create these files, but I did delete a few and recreate more accurate versions.

The files will be done pretty soon, at which time I will post them to rocketry files and finish the Thrustcurve updates.

It can't be said enough. Thanks for all the work you do on Thrustcurve and the rocketry files.

I have been sanding, working on the Scrambler, V2, Pullpup and Solar Warrior.
Got a box in the mail today.
Some nice fellow TRFer sent me Estes Ranger Kit!
No face card, just the name on the instruction sheet K-6, $2.75.
Semroc's Retro Repo is $34+ Shipping.
It was going to be my next clone, but parts would have run me near $20 besides what I have on hand.
I couldn't be happier! Eye's teared up.
This one's getting built and flown. Good one to do the build thread on using TB.
Nose cone has some damage, but repairable.
This is going to be fun.

Got the wood filler on the body tube and fins of the Sea Wolf. No small feat considering how much wood this kit has.

Meh, nothing that an orbital sander and a bunch of swear words wouldn't take care of. :)

Got the Gloss Black base coat on my ACME Spitfire. Glued in the motor mounts with shock cords on the two LPR kits I was working on at work last weekend, and glued in the MMT and shock cord for my QCC Explorer. After all those were dried, I took them outside and shot Filler/Primer on them. Hopefully this weekend I can get paint on all of them.

Got my Scion from Estes today along with some of those $3.59 Fletchers. I'm thinking of building a taller Leviathan with the Scion kit, it includes the fourth fin and the tube is not slotted yet. Pretty good kit for $30.00.

Spent some time learning how to pack a 96" Fruity Chutes Iris in a 12"x4" deployment bag. Tomorrow is supposed to be windy, so I will see how well it deploys.

And a bit of time, heh heh!

My work today was finishing the Altimeter Bay for my FG Mini-Frenzy. Eggtimer Quantum with 300mah LiPo battery. The sled is a total rework since the FG sled was a bit to flexible for my comfort. Hoping to have it ready to fly by the Tri-City Rocketeers March 2017 launch. Now I just need to get the chute and streamer made for it. 38mm Alt Bays suck for space.

I went to the next big town where they have an RC shop and an airfield. I have been trying to get contact with these guys for the longest time to see if I could fly my rockets on their field. (German thing, if in a club and have their insurance. Walked about 2 miles to the airfield to see that nobody was there, then walked back another 2 miles into town to the RC shop and picked up a can of water base balsa filler for 10 Euros (about 13 bucks) . Set it back down. Went down the road to a big sports hall where there were girls practicing for roller derby. Talked to some people I knew there that said "sorry we were late setting up, the RC airplane guys were here and went over into our time" :( Missed them by that much). Kind of wish I bought the balsa filler.

Flew with Tripoli Wisconsin. Had my first EX sparky motor today in my Wildman Interceptor 54. Motor went great, chute didn't come out completely, and the rocket landed on the ice. Popped two fins loose, but nothing broken-broken. Got 2100 feet on a 129NS G105, so not too bad for a G motor. Also flew my new Loc Cool Spool on an F50-4T, and my Vindicator sport on a G77-10R.

Maidened the Mini Frenzy on an F44-4W, boost was great but popped a fin and dinged the nose cone on landing. This was with the stock 18" parachute so I really need to go a size bigger. Based on how it went up with the F44, this thing is going to be a real performer.

Nice looker.

I spent some more time on Estes site and found the bottom half of the Leviathan. Instead of trying to slot the Scion's BT, I'm going to use this tube to build a Leviathan. Bought some of those Crayons and Sizzlers to give away, too cheap to pass up. Waiting on those Space Twister and Protostar rockets, I like that they are interesting builds. I'm debating on building one of my Star Oribters or Sprint XLs at the moment. I also have that Show Stopper on my desk that was a $5.00 clearance. Its tube is slightly crinkled but will build it anyway, tape a cheap 808 to it and have fun. May try it fit the firefly alti I picked up in there too. Going to use some of those motor block spacing tubes to build a small bay with on the inside

Sanded the filler primer on my QCC Explorer then shot it with a bonding primer and noticed some pin holes and voids, so I filled those. Waiting for it to dry and anticipating color coats soon. Also sanded my Supernova and shot Gloss White on my Guardian. Soon I'll be ready to shoot the fins and nose cone on my ACME Spitfire with Alclad Chrome as a precursor to Transparent Blue and Red. The BT will get Pearl White as a finish coat.
