Nice first post :) Welcome to the forum.

More like "Welcome Back".

"Foff" is SaturnV who was just banned, but decided it would be ok to just rejoin with a new user name.

I'm sure it will just be round two of his antics.

More sugar motors and scrap metal rockets on the way.

I believe you are correct good sir!

With an opening handle like "F off" I am sure it's a matter of days before he does himself in...maybe even hours.

I layed up the Balsa Sheet, Plywood Core, Balsa Sheet fins for my Mega Der Red Max using West Systems epoxy. The Balsa Sheet skins were cut just slightly oversize to be sanded to final shape after the epoxy cures.

I started construction of a Mini Fat Boy at work today, and will start a Goblin tomorrow. I have a lot of idle time at work .

Cut 2.5" off the top of my Maxi Alpha 3 so it'll look better with the decals I have for it. Started paint work on it. Also got the rail buttons on, and more sanding done to, the 4" BBIII.

Ordered a square meter of carbon fiber cloth.
I have a slightly modified Estes Big Daddy build in progress, but I fudged up the first two fins, and that made me go from just barely enough to do it to not enough left to do it.

Oh, and, ordered a new Wildman Drago EX. Now, it's a matter of being home when the box arrives and hiding it in the garage before the wife finds out!

I, my friend Brian and his five year old son enjoyed a private launch of my rebuilt Estes Renegade which I had originally built "stock" with 18 mm engine mounts in both stages, and terribly under powered. This lack of thrust in the booster stage and a steady 10 mph crosswind put the upper stage into a 20 acre lake earlier this year. So, I made a clone of the upper stage and modified the booster stage with a 24 mm engine mount, allowing me to use a C11-0 to a B6-4 in today's launch. It was a seamless flight to about 800+- feet.

Finally pulled the trigger on some MissileWorks altimeter goodies for my L2 project.

Finished up my Knife Sharpening Jig. It was supposed to do double duty as a fin beveling jig, but if you upscale it, it will do fine for that. The grid allows for every angle, versus the typical jig.:)
Using squares instead of circles means things stay level naturally. My first Jig had a round rod, and the results were unacceptable.

Thanks again Makerbeam Rail.

You just check the angle before each session, as they will be different from blade to blade or fin to fin.
That's what measuring tools are for. They keep you from having to mark up your jig.

Thanks measuring tools!

The last Pic' is just to show how I determine the angle.
That round rod with the Lansky B.S. garbage attached to it resides in the scrap metal pile now.

I can't believe I ever actually thought that that system was any good at all, because it is trash of the lowest level.

I'de like to have my $60 back from Lansky, as there garbage is such garbage, regardless of whether or not diamonds are involved.
Lansky deserves a kick in the head for producing such crap!!!

Well, it was yesterday and Saturday, but I built a Mini Fat Boy and a Goblin while at work.

I got weighed at the doctors appointment, and at 158, it is theoretically possible that I may be able to begin lofting myself up on high via Kite or Ultralite.
Also started building a 2X72 Belt Grinder, which will tune fins right up when it's done making blades.
Also recieved Carbon Fiber Cloth in the mail, and it makes most fantasies possible.

Got a spark that re-peeked my interest in rocketry again... how annoying is that? To lose interest, only to gain it back. It comes and goes with the seasons.

What design for the 2x72?

What design for the 2x72?

One of three possibles, each my own based on my available parts on hand.

I'm making a 1X72 as a practice run, and found a bunch of hockey rink plexiglass to cut into different shapes to try some designs on. The wheels and bearings and the platen will be the real deal, but having the plexiglass means I can fart around til' I get something nice, then just throw a few layers of carbon fiber on it and call it a day.
I actually am more worried about finding a big enough and proper motor and controller right now than I am about cutting some frame templates or installing bearings.
I suck at electrical stuff, and just today I got a 1/3hp Delta Milwaukee motor going again, but only thanks to the folks on www.owwm.org They really get right into it over there, so given my current needs I've been hanging out there and tuning up my equipment in accordance with "Arn" whatever the heck that is. Seems to be working though, and the shop tools I have are all old and of "Arn" standard, so were going to speed up production of everything here soon, thatnks to old tools getting tuned up and the common sense things I am learning, but should have already known.
