So far we 30 BFR/featured flights listed with 14 flights exceeding 10 kft.

We have an 18 kft waiver of the event, but we won't know until each morning if it will be 18 kft all day or in call in windows. If you have not registered your featured flights over 10 kft. or your BFR flight with over 5 kNs total impulse, now is the time to do it. Life will be a lot easier for the staff if we know what to expect on a given day.

Even though a lot of the flights this weekend will be big, high-power rockets, we aren't neglecting the smaller stuff. In addition to the standard banks of LPR rods, there will also be several mid-power rails available. We have at least 2 rails for mini-buttons and 1 for micro-button equipped rockets. So, if you've been thinking about checking them out or trying them, or you have smaller rockets that use smaller buttons, bring 'em! We can accommodate!

Is there a mini-rail or a 20mm x 20mm rail that fits the mini-rail buttons?

Yep, as Dave also replied. We have both a 5' & 6' mini button rail that will be set up (I use the mini a lot myself), with a second 6' available if need be. There will also be a 15x15 rail for micro buttons.

Man am I excited..
This is going to be such a cool launch...
I'm taking a few seriously needed days with my wife Sandy
before the launch in a state park before the launch,,
so I'll be leaving in the morning..
I can't wait,,

Big Blue will be there for you.

Paul.

Actually there will be our usual two hydraulic towers available, that is if the baby robins that are nested in the structure of the one has finally moved out.

They were real close when Larry and I were there two weeks ago. They were hopping around in the tower frame and one flew off to join it's parents, but two of them stayed in the nest and when we started checking on the out rigger legs the parents started dive bombing our heads.

Ohhhh Gary! That is a rare find you have there..... a collectors item maybe. ;-)

You have an early edition/version of the instructions in your hands there. The version that was sent to TMT. Click here for one with the right name and impulse.

Woo Hoo! I think. Well, it is flying this week end. I will save the instructions just because... :)

Looks like mother nature is going to give us a pass after the washouts at LDRS last year, forecast says clear and sunny all 3 days! Should be able to use all of that 18K, this is going to be an epic launch- don't miss out!

Yeah really excited about the weather forcast this year. Have 4 flights planned, two of them big. With good weather nice to take your time over the weekend to get them all in & enjoy everyone else's flights as well.

O. M. G. The weather says this weekend is going to be a scorcher, clear sunny skies with temps in the 80's and 90's.

Please, Please everyone remember your sun screen and have plenty of water available, especially if your going out to recover a rocket. All the food vendors will have water and we will have water for the volunteers under the registration tent.

Also due to the possibility of rain Thursday morning, (and only Thursday morning), some of us are heading out to set up as much as we can today.

Also I have loaded up all the BFR's onto my tablet for viewing while on the field, including the ones I just received this morning. Now Thursday due to prior commitments I won't be on the field. But that means that I'll have 1(one) extra day to load any more BFR's that come in onto my tablet. ( John D.- hint, hint).
FYI: Having your BFR loaded on my tablet will make doing your Roving L3 RSO easier and get you out to the away pads quicker, Just Saying, Folks....

Looking forward to punching holes in the sky this weekend, see all of you there.

CERT FLIGHTS at URRF-

Just throwing this out at the last minute, could folks following this thread ,or people that are coming as a group that may have a member certifying at URRF chime in about their plans?

No problems, just curious as to an approximate number. I will have the paperwork and L2 tests with me at the launch. see you all at Potter!

I have NAR tests and paperwork as well. Just look for the red F350 with the red shell on the back, CT plates...
Always happy to help cert.

Thanks Rick, I usually have those with me too, but I'm going to be WWAAAYYY too busy with BFR's to do any Cert's this weekend. Except for the one Level 3 Cert that I agreed to help with months ago.

FlisKits is on there way! :). Through NH, then Vermont, and should be crossing in to NY in just a few min. Hope to get settled in our hotel room in time for dinner.

What time can vendors show up on the field tomorrow?

Jim,
I know that ken will be on the field very early,(7 - 8 AM), Tim may already be on the field in his mobile home, And Mike Crupe should be there very early too. Come as early as you can we'll get you set up in vendor row and you can get set up as soon as you can. I know that I will be on the field by 7 - 7:30 myself, so we'll see you then.

Very good, will look to get there around 8am

Is there a reason that times for this event are no where to be found on the URRF web site?

I was able to sneak off for a few hours between diapers. Got a few flight photos, more on those later. Right now, I was able to nail down some loot I had in mine-

First stop was Tru-core to grab a bit of AP200 for July's project- This will be my first EX propellant, so I'm excited like a little kid.

Next up was stopping by Dan Patell and grabbing a 29mm 3G motor. I believe Mike is holding them at the MAC booth for the rest of the weekend if you want one-

And Teddy at OneBadHawk has all the new Loki loads. I pawed them all...but grabbed these two, G70 and G94. Check out those cores!

Stop by all these guys, Performance Hobbies, Wildman, and the other vendors and have a great weekend!

What a great day at URRF today! I thinking I'll be getting some new Loki stuff tomorrow. Those 120 loads look awesome.

Anyone get any shots of my Proteus? It flew right before Jerry's Sandhawk.
