Just a friendly bump. I currently have the following in stock and ready to be shipped:

2 White Units
1 Black Unit

$35.00 plus $3.00 for shipping and it is yours.

Received mine last week, nice! Can't wait to try it out, thx.

Got mine as well - just need to find time to install! Thanks BLKKROW!

Got 'er all buttoned up again after the LCD change out: https://www.rocketryforum.com/showt...nted-Eggfinder-LCD-Case&p=1525938#post1525938

The unit had a defective LCD and Cris sent me a replacement and it's working fine. The original would black out
at indeterminate intervals but the data would continue to come across fine over B/T to the Android device. Switch it off and on and the display would come back.

I did a backlight test of the handle and it seems that there is plenty of room at the bottom of the handle to put an eyebolt with a nut and washer so one could carry around the unit with a neck lanyard like Fred shows in his picture up above...... Even with a 1500Mah battery in the handle. The only thing one needs to consider it to epoxying the bottom plate on to secure it. Fred had done it with success. Kurt Savegnago

This holiday season has been insane at my house, trying to work a full time job and 3D printing for a few local people has taken up the majority of my time.

However, I do have an idea for a way to attach a lanyard to the unit. It would require a new back plate and some new attachments, I do not have a price for the addition but it will be completed soon. When it is ready to be printed and mailed, there may be other announcements ;).

Interesting,

So it would be on the back plate and be a drop-in replacement for the units already out there? That would be a nice option. Kurt

Correct! I am trying to satisfy those who are interested in a belt clip and those who want it on a lanyard. I have the idea and drawing in my head to make this happen I just need to design it and print it.

Just a friendly bump.

Also, I have been sketching up some designs and nailing down the needed hardware for a belt clip and hook for a lanyard. I will design these items in the next day or two pending any other orders that arrive. After that I will send a prototype to Wayco who attends more launches then anyone I know.

Feel free to browse www.blackaero.com.

Great to hear Kyle. Personally as someone who has lost two $20.00 subscription phones off belt clips, I don't trust them. I have a case now that keeps the phone secured on a funky, curvy clip. Plus I thread the hand strap on the belt now. $20.00 phones? Ehhhh, I didn't bat an eye losing them as the provider transfered with minutes no muss, no fuss to the new one. (Heck I know I really killed one of the phones as I ran it over with an SUV by accident as I didn't know it fell and rolled under the tire.) But....... To each his own.

The lanyard option is what I think would be helpful with this personage. If the EF LCD flies/flops off a belt clip, yeah the person might notice it but if it hits the ground just right, could do some serious damage. Kurt Savegnago

The way I am designing it and will sell it, is that it had both options a belt clip and a hook for a lanyard.

Love my case, went together easy and plenty of room for the LCD and Bluetooth module. Very happy with my purchase

If you could place an order on my website, I do have a black unit in stock if you want it shipped ASAP.

Friendly bump.

Also, the belt clip and lanyard attachment point have been sent out to beta test. Unfortunately the waiver for January did not go through so it will be beta tested sometime this month.

Another friendly bump.

The belt clip and lanyard attachment point are still being tested and I should get some good feedback before the end of the month. Also, I am purchasing/building a second printer and hope to have it ready and printing by April.

With this second printer I can produce more items at a faster rate. This means the designs I have now that I am not selling due to a fear of not being able to print them fast enough should be resolved and different items will be available soon.

That's good news. If you made avionics sleds, I'm sure they'd sell, too (hint, hint)!

I like to plan out projects to completion before starting, this is what I needed before buying an EggFinder! Sure beats taking a Dremel to a rectangular project box.

Well there may be more accessories for your eggfinder if I can get the idea our of my head. Av Sleds are a tough one because anything I design will be close to what Additiversion Aerospace sells. I would like to make a competing product but it remains to be seen.

This is just what you need! This unit will give you everything you need in a case all in one place.

I will be giving your belt clip and lanyard attachment a good field test this weekend. Sharon and I have several rockets we plan to fly with Eggfinders.

Thank you Sharon and Wayne! You two are the best beta testers!

I just got through putting a LCD board in one of blkkrow's cases for somebody, it's a really nice case but the button that came with it was not up to par. I recommend Philmore #30-111, it's got a nice big button and fits great if you ream out the hole slightly. It makes a huge difference, especially with a TRS.

May I ask what you mean not up to par? Did it not work? If so I am more than willing to send a replacement.

You mean for momentary or on/off? I thought the provided rocker switch was fine. The Philmore, if you suggest the momentary one, looks nice. I had a locking toggle I was able to cram in there in addition to turn the backlight on and off.

Was that Bill's LCD? Must be a bear to get the Rf module off the board without dorking it. He'll be ecstatic to get it back

So I know my website is not currently setup perfectly with shipping when you purchase multiple items.

Please be assured knowing that if you order 2 or more items I do refund the extra shipping.

Thanks.
