It has been a while sense I have dabbled with Estes rockets . I want to modify a Black Brant 2 kit .

The fins I am using will be mounted through the wall . The blue engine mount tube 030362 is a bit short for my use . Is there a longer version of the blue engine mount tube ? I know the 24mm tube comes in 3.75 and 2.75 lengths but I require longer length. the 24mm engine mount tube what size is the tube in reference to the BT tubes BT-20 ? I wish they would give the different airframe and engine mount tubes in MM and the equivalent BT sizes

thanks

Bobby

update

i located a conversion chart on the apogee website and understand the BT50 is used as a "D" motor mount tube
I will post my progress on the conversion at a later time

A 24mm tube, actually 24.13mm, is an Estes BT50. Any vendor that carries parts will have them. They come 457.2mm (18 inch) long. Cut to whatever length you need.

There are 30 and 34 inch out there, BMS has them as well as coupler tube just as long. I've used the long tubes to make stuffer tubes in like BT70 and BT80 rockets I build so that less cubic inches need to be pressurized to eject the cone. Makes the whole airframe stiffer, too
