I had a math teacher prove that 1=0 once...

It involved dividing by (a-b) and then setting a=b. 😀

FYI - the moment you divide by (a-b) you must also make the restriction that a<>b from that point on to avoid a division by zero. So, the following assignment of a==b is not valid at that point, because it means you have divided by zero and any results based on that are not defined, except within the core of a Black Hole singularity.

No kidding. To think I used to be able to follow that stuff. And also made me think of many many classes where I completely zoned out and fell asleep somewhere in the middle of that page...
