Thanks for the link Winston. I learned a lot following the links on that site.
I'm driving to Nellis AFB tomorrow to get a closer look at this amazing jet. They fly off Luke AFB regularly now, but I don't have access to them here. Looking forward to getting some pic's with our personal tour.

I remember getting a tour of that facility back when GD was building F-16s there. I remember the far wall actually fading a bit in the distance inside the building...it was bizarre to see.

The other thing I remember was seeing F-16s with 'spines'. The only variant up until then I had seen with a spine was the AFTI testbed, so it seemed odd to see a production line with several of them. I asked about them in the after tour briefing...and was told quite curtly that information about them was restricted. Only much later did I learn they were part of Peace Marble II, a delivery of Block 30 Vipers modified with Israel avionics.

Not a bomb. That is the optional gun pod for the F-35B and C models. General Dynamics GAU-22/A 25mm.

The F-35A carries the same gun internally above and behind the left inlet.
