Update
Further edited as it has been pointed out by EARS that this post is leading UKRA members into believing they are not welcome at EARS. This was never the case, and certainly not my intention. I have therefore edited it at their request.
Please see the post below by UKRA_Council for clarification.

Hi all. Posting as an EARS member I wouldn't worry too much about this. A temporary hiccup I am sure.

Everyone is welcome to BigEARS - irrespective of political orientation. Looking forward to seeing you all there. There will be a lot of AP and BP burnt if last year is anything to go by!

Following discussion with Mr Peter Barrett, EARS Committee member, the UKRA Council would like to add the following clarification on the statements made in the first post above.

1. EARS have run an independent rocketry workshop for years and this will be run once again by Mr. Peter Barrett at this year’s Big EARS Event this coming May Bank-Holiday Weekend;

2. UKRA will provide the Model Achievement Programme (MAP) materials to Peter ahead of Big EARS. Anyone wishing to complete a MAP flight should speak to Peter at the event who will be happy to accommodate.

3. All UKRA Members (with the Exception of Russ Strand – UKRA Chair) are welcome to attend EARS Events;

4. UKRA is working to resolve some issues surrounding promotion at EARS events.

The UKRA Council is grateful to Mr. Peter Barrett for his assistance in enabling MAP activities at the 2015 Big EARS event.
