Applied decals and clear coat to my NewWay N21 Night fighter. Had some compatability issues trying to put the red on the fins of my Red River HV308. Not sure why, as it was Krylon on Krylon. Ground tested the ejection on my LOC Doorknob. Worked like a champ. Will add link to video if I can upload it to Youtube.

Submitted the last of the changes on my class 3 waiver to Kent. Hopefully I'll have it to the FAA monday.

Worked on a 2.6 inch tube launched prototype (with retractable fins) in Open Rocket.

(BTW: I can't insert an image from a file on my computer. I can select the image but then there is no 'upload' button. I'm using Linux Mint with Chrome Browser and Firefox, neither or which worked. Anyone else having issues?)

I can't upload anything either. Been that way since last night.
Really sucks.

Thanks Les. I posted in that thread without reading it fully.

I'm going advanced!!!

Just received parts to add 54mm MMT booster to my Super DX3 Dual Deploy. Working on 33 and 41 mm F24 and F39 'spike' model.

The Darkside gave us the weekend off so the craft labor could go home for the holiday. Too far for me, so I hung around the hotel.

Anyway, just finished gluing the motor mounts for a Baby Bertha and Mini Fat Boy that I bought 7 weeks ago.
I think that I will give papering a try on the Fat Boy fins.

cut some tubing (bt70) for a scratcher, then discovered that it doesn't have a standard wall thickness. project is now pending.

Began an Almost Minimum Diameter 29mm scratch build.
I realized that a BT-55 Coupler could be used to make centering rings for the MMT, so I'll cut it into separate sections.
Now I also have a use for these glassed basswood fins I made at the same time I made a set of balsa ones for my 24mm MD Rocket.
This nose cone I got awhile back at the hobby shop for $3, and it looks like it will be a good ogive to work with.

Started balancing a 7.75lb rocket with a 7.75 lb motor .

Still in process the CP is about an inch forward if the upper rail button and a pound of shot brings the CG forward to the same spot

Anyway want to triple check and confirm balance point with no sled before commiting to the nose weight.

Basically dry fit of 2g motor grains in spacers in the Pro75 4g motor.. nozzle came really jammed into the liner - is it coming prebonded now? I pulled the tape off from holding nozzle to liner for shipping and nozzle doesnt move at all ..

After dinner, on the way home from sis inlaws,we see KMART was open.
So, the wife and I stopped in and I continued my search for the perfect range box.
Nothing they had pulled on my trigger.
However I did buy the game "Battleship" ..... "B-4"..."waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you sank my battleship"!

Put the finishing touches on a 54mm avbay. Six inches long and it holds two 9v batteries, two magnetic switches and two altimeters. The new Stratologger CF and a RRC2+.
Then I drilled a bunch of holes, one of my least favorite tasks. Static ports, vent holes, holes for screws to hold the avbay to the payload tube and shear pin holes.

Made some parts for 29mm EX motors. Anyone interested in buying a motor or two?

I stopped into the LHS the other day, picked up some balsa, a Baby Bertha kit and a Mini Max. I had to sort through the Mini Max kits to find one where the tube wasn't crushed. I thought about buying a Corssfire - something about that little rocket appeals to me - but every one they had was also squished. Since the tube is preslotted, I wouldn't want to just throw it away.

Anyway, I also sanded and reprimed my Orbital Interceptor clone. Also, I put the decals on two upscale projects that I recently finished up. And then I took this crappy photo:

Digging through the attic we found the box of old rockets including a Ranger, a Sandhawk without nosecone, and my old Astron Scout painted with Testors Yellow and Black enamels. That one will fly again, I have some 1/2A6-2's :)

Put fins on a Baby Bertha using the old school MkII eyeball alignment tool. Got up this afternoon and saw that one of the fine is noticeably off. Eyeball alignment tool ain't what it used to be.....
Guess I'll see if I can break it free and try again after work. Or I suppose I could just leave it and let'er spin.

Yesterday I wet-sanded the white paint on my LOC Caliber ISP, which I built maybe 15 years ago but am only now taking past the "in primer" phase.

It had enough time to dry in the sun to allow me to put on masking tape (planning ahead for a different-colored fin can and fins) and put on another coat of white.

Still need to decide on the final color scheme. Currently, cone is red, payload section is black.

Primed my 24mm patriot. Started my barclone stryker build, ordered some cardboard tubes for some motor testing.
