It's noon and we are scheduled to launch at 1:00. I'm too fired up so I'm here early. Ive planned flights of my Trace1, Phoenix, and Nomad. A bit windy SSW AT 14 mph and it should be around 54 degrees at launch. I'm killing time. I know how excited you are to read this-ha. I will post results later. Forgot my camera-oops.

Are you guys still using the soccer fields at Benjamen Harrison?

Is there a way to tell when you guys are launching? I didn't see anything on the website or forum.

I'm getting back into rocketry and would like to meet some other Indy-area rocketeers sometime. Haven't joined NAR yet, though.

It was a slow year for us at Ft Ben. We are still looking for another location. I will post here again when we launch. We would love to have you join us. We are very informal and have no requirements other than for you to show up with your stuff (motors, ignitors, rockets). Anxious to meet you.

Pretty windy! Normally we would have cancelled but we were anxious to fly. There were several successful flights but a couple drifted out to the road where they were run over by cars. One of those fAtalities was my Trace1. I was amazed that even though hit by a car it managed to kee all its fins (ttw). They were crooked, but still attached. My Phoenix came back ok. Almost everything flown with super undersized chutes were ok. What did I learn? It's not too smart to fly in 14mph20 mph winds. Of course you all know this but I really wanted to fly.
