I couldn't agree with you more... unless I knew what that actually meant.
;)

All it means is unless one tells others a model has been cloned, noones gonna know the difference. unless theres some obvious flaw such as the wrong shaped nose cone or completely different decals used.

Anyone can Buy an old kit if they really want to spend the money, it's just Not that important... If your turely going to fly the model anyway not just build another dust collecting, shelf sitting static model.
I have a couple original Mars Lander in the box, and a Semroc bagged clone, which one do you think I'm converting to 24mm mtor mount??? and which will stay in the box til I sell it? ON the field No one give a rats dirty little backside if its a clone or original. just where'd Ya get that COOL looking model.

I recently built my original Centuri Dual glider shuttle kit. but totally chaged the mother ship elevator flaps and added adjustment stops to improve flght performance. It's now a much better flying model, but it's nether an original kit or clone. it just doesn't matter. Clone or original...only the builder knows for sure!

Scotts UpScale is a fantastic looking model. Can't wait to see it in the air.

I finally got to see Scott's upscaled Avenger in person. WOW! Looked even better in person. The skies were overcast and the there was a slight breeze(5-10 mph). Not a picture perfect day, but certainly adequate for flying. He nervously loaded the 3/16 rod, but maybe somewhat comforted by the fact this was being recorded with Kevin's video and my stills. It was a great flight!. D12 to C11...it was a perfect combo, and staged beautifully. Chute was good and brought it down within a very short walking distance. Some minor damage occurred during the ejection phase. You could see were the cone had collided with one of the fins, creating a small scrape on the nose and loosened one of the fins. Some easy repair and touch up work lies ahead, but the "battle scars" were a small price to pay for watching it go up.;) Nice job Scott!

Great video Kevin, the angle caught the staging. Of course the whole thing is good except I'm talking too much :(, then the best part is catching Scott fainting on recovery :rotflol:
