Here's my one and only Goonie: The ALARM-G. G is for Goonie.

Sure, I'll try to go into Photobucket and play with it later. Weekend x-ray duty.

One question for all you Goons - how Goony are they? Did you build them with a 13mm motor mount or an 18? :p (To me - the 13mm motor mount is part of being Goony - I know others don't hold to that, so I was curious what you all did here).

These are great. I think there should be a Goony library filled with plans/Rocksim files/Space Cad files for everyone to look at and build.

A lot of the ones I've built lately would be hard pressed to get in the air with a 13mm engine. All of my goonies are 18mm with the exception of the Goondromeda which has a 24mm mount.

The Goony library filled with plans/Rocksim files/Space Cad files is a great idea. How could this be done? I have been working on a Goony X(G)-15.

The Goonlantis uses the same templates as the regular Atlantis which are available at Jimz's or YORP. Almost forgot, the upper deck needs to be shortened. For the decals, I just ordered a regular set from Phred and made a couple of new ones for the name.

Ok, thanks.

I flew my GoonyCeptor as yesterday's club launch and had so much fun with it I order the Atlantis decals today from Phred! I have 5 Baby Berthas "in stock" so who knows where this madness will end.

Not sure how it could be done. But what I had in mind was similar to EMRR's library of reviews and Rocksim/Spacecad stuff. It sure would help me.

Have fun with the Goonlantis. It's easily the most complex Goonie I've built. I'm hoping to give mine it's maiden flight next weekend.

Here is my contribution to this thread: My "Gee Hod" Groonie and my "V-1" Goonie. Both are great flyers!!!

Absolutely, that Honest Goon would be just plain dangerous with a 13mm motor.

I love Goonies. There have been some nice ones shown so far in the thread. I still have a number of Goonies in the build pile but I will go ahead and post pics of the ones I have finished.

I love all the pics here ... lots of imaginative stuff. I just finished a couple of clones of the original Goonybirds. I made them for my kids (pre-schoolers) and they were ready in time this past weekend. But they didn't want me to launch them, so they didn't even make it to the pad. (I think they're worried about something bad happening to their new rockets)

Not sure this qualifies, but here is my first goonie.

The Goonie Lander!

I used a baby bertha, a section on BT-80, and a spare set of Mars Lander legs.

It flew real nice on a C6-3

This thread is getting better every day! I had no idea that people loved the GOONIES so much. :p

Keep 'em coming!!

Phred

Phred said keep 'em coming. What gives? ;) By the way, I have to give credit to Phred for the Goonybird decals on my kids' clones. He even threw in the face for the Cloud Hopper. Nice work as always.

Indiana -- You said your Goonmanche is two-stage, right? Is the booster just the bottom set of fins (and the sustainer has two sets)? Nice touch with the Chief Wahoo decal.

Yep, the bottom set of fins is the booster. You're the first to say anything about Chief Wahoo. I thought he was a perfect fit!

I put a link somewhere in this thread to the rocksim files. 2 and 3 stage version.

For you guys out there who are making your own, scratch, goonies is it possible to have you guys send me the files you're using to make the decals? Either that or make a deal with Phred to get these decals out to the masses. All of these originals are too good to let them not be of use to other individuals.

No really, I mean it! Please send the patterns . . . :D

Hi Gang, I am just doing final packing before flying to Europe tomorrow....

I will be glad to offer any Goony design. If anyone wants their Goony produced as a decal/planset, please email me at [email protected] and we can talk. Excelsior currently offers several decals that others have designed.

Phred

Phred, when you get back, I for one would be willing to buy a plan set for all the goonies on this thread - seriously!
