This has been in the back of my mind for some time now.

The Vulcan has always been one of my favorite Centuri classics. So, you ask, what makes this one special?

It's a matter of perspective, of course.

This new one is a 180% upscale. It's built around a BT-55 core with a 24mm engine mount and a baffle from Semroc. It's 20" long with a wingspan of 9 3/4".

This one turned out so well, I'm going to do a BT-60 based version.

Awesome!!

Tell us more: what paper did you use? What glue did you use on the paper?

110 lb cardstock was laminated for the body, using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. The stuff ain't cheap, but it worked well in this application. The body is two layers thick with an extra layers reinforcement in some key areas. The rear former is 1/8" plywood with a cardstock lamination. The fins are all 3 layers of 110 lb stock. I originally toyed with the idea of using former ribs inside the body, but after test fitting the core tube and the former, I found that it was very durable. I turned a balsa cone for it, as there is nothing close to that shape in plastic. It will most likely need 1.5 to 2 ounces of noseweight.
Weight should come in right around 7 ounces + of -. She'll fly mostly on D's, but I may put her up on some AP every now and then.
