Anyone know if Impulse Aerospace in Tulsa, OK is still around? I sent them an e-mail last week, no answer. Have tried to get through on phone, no luck. I'm in need of some replacement parts for our club's Quad-pod.

Best Regards

I feel your pain. I needed to get some parts for our club's 3 quad-pods about a year & a half ago. It took me trying for ~5 months before I was able to get a response from them. At least when I did, the replacement parts were received in a timely fashion (less than 1 week).

Hang in there & keep trying. I don't know if they list a phone number on their site, but I sure would give it a call if it does... (don't just keep firing off emails!)

HTH,

I finally gave up and went to my local Fastenal dealer and ordered some of the steel inserts. Got a few spares just in case. Also went with large wing nut bolts to replace the broken set knobs. Not "as equipped" but servicable. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one who has experienced issues. :(

And I admit that it's a real shame they're hard to come by & get parts for because the Impulse Aerospace Quad-pods are really built to last. They are the last high power pads any club would ever have to buy...

I bought a Quad pod late last year. They responded fairly quickly to my email and called me to be sure of what I was looking for. On the phone, it was explained to me that there were some health issues involving the proprietor. When it shipped, I was contacted by the daughter(?) and told that the kids would be filling orders for the forseeable future.

I got it on schedule and am happy with it. I suspect it may be one of the last ones.

Just an update for everyone....

After several days attempting contact by e-mail and phone, I finally made contact via phone with the owner's wife. She advised me that her husband is away on business until the first of June. She would try to locate the parts I need, and would contact me if she found them for mailing information. If not, I'd have to wait until her husband got back the first week of June.

It does appear they are still in business at the moment.

Thanks to all who responded, including PM's.

Best Regards
