Well, I'd like to be able to say that this is another one of what has looked like non-sequitur postings form me; but I know some of you may have seen it coming....

They just took away the last local field Bunny and I could use, and are turning it into a solar energy farm. Great for the environment, not good for launching. NEFAR just turned me away, so there goes any chance within 2 hours drive for model flight testing...

I guess I am a bit of...ok...I am a bad apple! :D
Considering where I've been, done and all...I'm proud of it!
So...off with the white model rocket engineering smock, and back on with the leather riding vest and patched COLORS!

My website will be reflecting this.

MODS! You may delete my profile form the list....SpaceAXElorer has officially ridden into the sunset. :)

Peace, Love, Respect you all!

PS- I'm going to be having one heck of a sale on eBAY, or other place...

AX'E

Sorry to see you go.:(

I'm just curious, why did NEFAR turn you away???

I know it's quite a ride but you would have been welcome to fly with our group FLASH Rocketry.

dog-gone it!

Now ya done gone and make me a liar, about leaving trf, after that posting by asking me a question I done wanna answer! :D

UM- I dunno...whatever PUNK is hiding behind the name ADMIN, didn't give me a reason. It did pi......erce me off though. But HEY! That's LIFE! :pop:

TY for the invitation- carrying rockets 4-5 hours away on a bike is a bit tricky anyway. :(

OK- NOW I'm done! :gavel:

AX'E,

Am sorry to hear about these turn of events. Really am.

Is it possible to go out and find a place on your own, at least for LPR/MPR?

As far as NEFAR, I too have to ask the question as to why? I know they may have their reasoning, but did they give you a precise reason? And if they did, did they tell you how you can make it back in?

I've seen this happen in the past where a club says you can't launch with them but, yet provides no evidence as to why. Heck, even if a person is committed of murder there's a path laid forward towards restitution, whether it's fines, prison time, or death. But heck, you now what you have to do to pay your debts.

So did they provide you an explanation or tell you why? Do you honestly know in your heart of hearts the reasoning?

How can a club 'ban' someone, if they allow non-club members (i.e. general public) to fly?

Does the organization's charter, or national affiliation weigh in?

Too many paths, from this point, rather than say "I'm out."

:confused:I know you're not posting any more but I just have to say "WHAT?!"

For what its worth, as a NEFAR member, I can't imagine the circumstances that would lead to this. I am not familiar with any sort of bylaws that exist to exclude someone, although I'm sure there must be some sort of provision. I'm not at involved in any decision making or any sort of authority in the club, so this is all a surprise to me. In the one time I've seen you at a club launch you have been very well mannered and pleasant. Much more so than myself.

Hey Eric so what you can't launch for a while. Still doesn't mean you can't contribute to the conversation. No need to drop your account. You can still post of your experiences....

...., so there goes any chance within 2 hours drive for model flight testing... ....
We also have a problem here is finding a field close by. The city, and surrounding towns, have gotten so big that every field is now 1 to 2 hours away.

So you have a little longer drive. Don't make as many trips and plan for a full day.

AX'E,

What?!!!!!! You murdered someone? You failed to mention that in your post. No wonder that people do not want to fly with you.

As a flier at NEFAR (though haven't been in about a year), I, too, am curious as to why you cannot fly with them. They are a great group and have a relaxed flying "protocol". Unless you really T'ed someone off or were "reckless" in your flying, I'm confused for the reason for the ban.

We had a flier at FLASH a few years back who was completely reckless, disregarded safety, flew his own motors when they are strictly prohibited (typically with poor results) on more than one occasion -- that's among only a few bonehead things he did or tried. We gave him numerous opportunities to change his flying habits, but he thumbed his nose at our rules and failed to change. He was endangering other fliers, spectators, and our flying field. The officers of the club finally had no other choice and unanimously voted to prohibit him from flying with us. So there are instances when banning someone from flying may be warranted, but it's a pretty rare occurrence.

Is there a grammar / run-on sentence moderator? ;)

As far as fitting into their 'click'[sic]...not a problem at NEFAR launches to my knowledge. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help.
