Looks great! What size motor mount? The Fat Boy is a fun rocket.

"This is my FAT BOY . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fat Bot is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fat Boy is useless. Without my Fat Boy , I am useless. I must fly my Fat Boy true. I must fly straighter than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must FLY him before he Flys me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my Fat Boy and myself are defenders of my country, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen."

Nice fatboy...

That is one kick @%% Fatty ,love all that delicious detail :eyepop:

Nice one Todd

Wow - that is AMAZING! I love it!! Very nice job!!

3 inch body tube, 29 mm motor mount.

Very Nice! Looking forward to seeing it completely finished and then a flight report.

I am considering a 2.6" with a 29mm motor mount. How much nose weight? I am toying with an adjustable nose weight system.

I believe I used 2oz of lead shot in the nose of mine. Flies great on a G79.

What?! Now it's a Christmas ornament? I think some Santa or candy cane decals are required ...

What did you use for the rivets? Did you use small dots of glue?

What type of body tube is this? Is it paper or phenolic? I am still a little new to rockets. Flew them as a kid and loved it. Now I am starting to get way into it. I am also hadicapped and cannot walk real well. So a mid powered small rocket would be nice. I see you are holding out on the build techniques you used. That is cool it is what makes the master builder. Can not give out all your secrets . But the body tube material you can tell me that right? By the way really cool looking Fat Boy. Have a good day. Nukemmcssret

Happy now? :bangpan: :bang: You still get your red and green. :santa-smile:

LOL! THAT'S what happened to all the stuff I sent you!;)

Very Scud like.

I hope you're still going to make a SCUD.

The Fat Boy uses a plain 'ol 3 inch paper tube. The decals are from the Sandman.

It's a Fat Scud. I knew you'd spot your own work.

Actually I didn't think much of it at first...just another Fat Boy build, but today I saw the decals so I zoomed in on one of the pictures and saw some very familiar stuff.:D

Can I assume you used the "glue dot" method for your rivets?

Time consuming but not hard to do.

Obviously NOT a Soviet made vehicle. In all of the pics I have of the real Scud the rivets aren't that even and straight!

Hey Bradycross,

Here's "Fat Boy" in Russian for you:
Жирный Мальчик

and "Fat Boy Scud"
Жирный Мальчик Несется

No, I don't speak Russian. I just got it off an online translator.

The Fat Boy looks great!
