My kids have broke the bulb in the controller :( and I'm having trouble finding a replacement bulb. Does anyone know the bulb # for replacement? I assume the bulb should be 6 volt as well?
Thanks
Greg

There's an Estes Educator pamphlet on launch systems that mentions a #51 pilot bulb for 6 volt, and #53 pilot bulb for 12 volt. As long as you've got a bulb that will fit and has enough resistance to keep from lighting the igniter, everything should be fine.

My recommendation would be to replace the lamp with a buzzer. There must be a thread about this, I copied mine from somewhere...

I convert the bulb to a 10mm LED. I do the conversion for $5 including shipping. or I can sell you the parts and installation sheet for $1.75. I use red/clear bright LEDs and include the resistors.

The LED helps the batteries last longer and dont break easily like the glass bulbs.

I also sell the relacement standard 6V bulbs, 5 for $1.25 shipped.
