I'm down to the last gift (hurray!)--something for my husband. I was going to go with the default home store gift card (which he likes) but my daughter is pouting about how boring it is (which is true).

There's one thing he could use that I could use suggestions for. We go camping and he has yet to find an outdoor chair which is comfortable for him (think tall and skinny). It seems everything hits wrong: too short, too curved in the back, etc. The standard lawn chair, the Eddie Bauer collapsible stuff in a bag and the camp stools have all been rejects for him.

Does anyone have suggestions for a chair that will fold up and travel well but might offer more in the way of comfort?

When you say tall and skinny, how tall are you talking? This might give someone a better reference for sizing a chair for you. Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations.

I use a chair like this one and love it, but it does seem to sag in the seat some:

My brother has one of these captain's chairs which are quite different. It's pretty stiff and sits like a director's chair:

Pippen,

Our entire family use the fold-up type chairs that bmhiii shows in his first pic. We like them because they fold up easy and can be thrown in the trunk (car) or underneath our seats (van).

There's some more ellaborate ones out there, with feet and leg rests built in as well. All-in-all you can pick these up at Wal-mart or Target for the basic ones (around $8) , and Sports Authority, Bass Pro, etc. for the more fancy ones ($15).

I really like this one, from GI Joes. Doesn't sink in the middle!

our club has several of these and I really like them because, as you say, you don't sink into them as much. They are much more comfortable if you need to work at a table like range safety.
