I last flew the Nomad in September of 1980. So forty years ago this month. I did check Jon Rocket, unfortunately no Nomad parts. However I did find a ton of other parts I can use for other projects. Thanks for the information
e rockets might have the parts too. I hope you can find them. I would like to see you clone one. "1980"...Wow. You have to find parts for sure for 40 year anniversary. That year I was flying the Estes "Avenger" 2 stager and an Honest John with wooden Nose Cone. How I miss those days.

I remember the Estes Avenger, very cool rocket Of course the Honest John is a classic. That’s a big chunk of wood for the nose cone. I’m running out of time for the 40th anniversary. Might have to settle for 41.
That whole Space X thing is going to be amazing. Our Grandkids will be learning about it in school someday. Unfortunately both launches had pretty thick cloud cover. It was still cool to watch. The sound on one of them was quite eerie. Nothing like what I thought a rocket would sound like.
LOL, it does look like a flying beer can The two test flights were the middle of the second stage. They are testing the cryogenic tanks and engine performance. The next prototype will look like a real rocket. It will have a nose cone and control surfaces.
Still a classic rocket, I wonder how much it would cost to make the nose cone out of balsa again. Looks I’ll have to do a forty first anniversary launch. It’s looking like my launch season is coming to close. It feels like November in the mornings now. The trees are already changing colors.

Yeah, the season is coming. Does it get to cold there to launch? I always liked the fall and winter to fly. Even in the snow.We still have our trains that I tinker with. It seems trains our more popular in the winter and the Holidays. WAC is still pacing back and forth along with my other Flyers. I will get to them.

Oh yeah, we do get cold and snow to enjoy The coldest I’ve launched in was right around zero degrees and light snow. It will be fun to see your WAC flying in the future. I hope to get a couple of launches in by the end of the year. I hope you can some in as well
