So my active duty Air Force wife got her orders this week, heading to Edwards AFB.
This is home turf for me, I grew up in Orange County (back when there were orange groves) and worked at Edwards AFB for 13 years before I became an Air Force "wife"...
What is new for me is that when I left CA I was a low power, lone ranger type. As a kid we just went up to the local school to launch, and as a grown up with my kids we just drove out of town to the nearest BLM land and did our thing. Now as a high power flyer I guess I need to get smart on all the silly extra CA restrictions/regulations to stay out of trouble.
Of course it helps that there are a couple of big active clubs nearby...
The only down side is that we won't be hitting the road until the last week of June so I'll miss my chance at LDRS. The up side of course is that I'll be able to go to Souther Thunder one more time...
