DEKALB COUNTY, Illinois USA — A man suffered severe burns to his face and arms while cooking chemicals on his stove. The chemicals, which police say are used in launching model rockets, blew up in Andrew Rader's face at his home at 25020 Clare Road. He was treated at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Three children were in the house at the time of the explosion. They were not hurt. Police also located a large amount of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia. An arrest warrant was issued for Rader on drug charges and for endangering the life of a child.

Well aren't the "ingredients" for model rockets in a lot of things. The information provided leaves far too many questions than answers. I would guess the cops have no clue as to what goes into making model rocket "motors". Maybe the "perp" said that to deflect the consequences of an apparent "meth lab." Sounds like media bias, as has been mentioned before...
