Scout decal

I am building the 1979 version of the Estes Scout, straight from the sealed bag. My kit did not contain a decal, so I was wondering what decal sheet did Estes get the "Estes" decal from? I have more sealed Scout kits, but don't want to open them to discover Estes did not put decals in these kits. Thank you. David

Don't open them, because you won't find any decals in any of them. Estes never included decal in Scout kits. They probably used on of their generic decal sets.

I had the same issue/problem when finishing my Scout.

I contacted Sandman and he told me the 'ESTES' decal was on the Camroc decal sheet.

I ordered the Camroc decal sheet and there they were.

It's also on the Pre Damon 1969 big Bertha decal set.

Let me find an alternative "common" decal set with some room to put extras on.

There is also an Astron Scout decal on the all black D-6 decal set. I have since expanded that set to include a Mars Snooper and Astron Drifter.

Oh, yea I also added some of the blue "Estes" ovals.

Estes had a few other decal sets too, that I haven't been able to find anywhere but you can see it at the at Ninfinger productions in the 1970 Estes Catalog here: https://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/nostalgia/70est120.html The generic decal set I was remembering was "Model Markings" #692-D-6 I would also love to get scans of #2 kit names decal (color).
