I've been trying to access the rocket plans on this site and only get dead links and broken pic icons. A few things seem to work but most of the content is inaccessible. Does anyone know what's up? Ted

WHen I went on yesterday, his home page had some Hackers alias on it with some note about anyone trying to take control would die...

I would say he's been hacked. give them time to resolve it!

I'm not impatient, just curious. It's unfortunate that he's been attacked. I've often wondered about the motivation of these people that would randomly cause damage to a site like this. I recently came across a scam when searching for rocket info. A page popped up that looked like an authentic microsoft security page. It gave dire warnings of malware infection and urged clicking on a link to "fix" the "problem". If you click on the tab an executable file page comes up and if you save it your computer is finished!:y: I found out about the system crash from it when I consulted my tech guru. Part of his small business is repairing this type of damage but he was unable to do so for two of his customers. Once installed it cannot be removed. All he could do for them was retrieve their data for transfer to a new system. This kind of mindless malice is destroying the open internet. Ted

Yep. pretty bad when they go after a bunch of HARMLESS rocket guys...

I NEVER click on anything that comes up as a warning. it usually bad. I only trust my security program. if it comes up with a warning its always legit.

if Microsoft has an issue, you can usually look it up much better then clicking and hoping.. ask me how I know LOL

Was it something about a security system? Been there...done that, had to wipe out my computer and start over.

I don't understand their motivation, These are the type of people that will end up in prison.

The Tripoli Idaho website used to get hacked constantly. It was so bad they actually had to switch servers.

All websites are attacked, rather frequently. from a number of countries.

Over the past year, TRF updated the forum software, firewalls and service provider to greatly reduce our venerability to attack. Troj and WIK are wizards on combating attacks, and the rest of the mods work hard to rapidly and permanently ban spammers so TRF doesn't get bogged down with needless garbage adds and mitigate denial of service attacks.
