May I Ask For Prayers For My Cat?

This thread has brought to mind that when I had mine put down (throat cancer) we had her cremated and the ashes returned. That little box has been collecting dust for a few years now. Maybe I'll launch her into the air over the back yard......

I have had to put down 3 of the family cats. It is not fun. I hate to do it, but I would hate to inflict the pain of doing so on my family. It is not a fun thing nor is it something you easily forget. The final decision for me is whether the discomfort and suffering is worth prolonging. You need to have the strength to rise above the emotions to determine whether the desire for an alternative outcome is a viable reality.

Today he is Pouncing up onto stuff and walking better, but he still is'nt back to his usual self, and he is still moving slowly. For now he seems to be recovering well enough that there's still some Hope, so we'll just have to keep hoping for the best I guess.

a thousand prayers for Mr Whiskers....Total cat lover here though after the last one died I havent had acat since, cant take the shock of losing them anymore.

Hope Mr whiskers gets better....one of my cats had feline leukeamia and still clocked up a lot of life after diagnosis so dont give up. Cats are remarkably resilient creautures and cant still have a good life even if restricted.

He's doing even better today, even running a couple of times, once to pounce on one of the other Cats in a playful fashion.
I'm introducing him to wearing the Collar on a permanent basis and he's tolerating it well.
I took him outside a few times today and he surprised me with his ability to get up and go. He was a good Cat and I let him take me on a short walk into the Woods on one of our Trails, and he stopped to pee into a Stream. I think he did this instead of his usual "Marking" was to hide his Scent from Predators, being that he's incapacitated to some Degree. I picked him up and brought him back to the House.
It's great that he's making Progress, but I now need to re-arrange the way I do things a little bit to accomodate him. I have not got anything else going on that's important, so I can be there to tend to him.
I went to the Store today and got a three new Brands of Catfood, and they all claim to be "Natural" and healthy, so I'm going to start feeding my Cats these instead of Kit & Kaboodle and Meow Mix. I also re-upped on Catnip, and baught a bag of Treats.
The Vet is going to call tomorrow to follow up, and we'll go back sometime during the Week for a Once Over and whatnot.

Tonight during our Walks he "Marked" his Perimeter, which is a good Sign, as opposed to how he had been trying to hide and mask his "Movements".
Sure, he's wearing a Collar and a Leash, but he's telling the Yard and everyone in it that he is back, and in shape enough to command his Turf.
To me this is a good Sign that he is recovering.

As of late, we've gotten into a "Groove" of when he needs to go out and do his thing, so not only is he doing amazing in his Recovery but he is doing great!
I don't even feel silly anymore when the Nieghbors drive by and spot me and my Cat in the middle of my Front Yard at 0600 in the Morning. I've lost a lot of Weight since I quit drinkin' and started being a Health Conscious Person again, so I actually look good in my Pajamas walking a Cat on a Leash.
