To all that have ordered 100g altimeters I just wanted to give a heads-up.

More is not always better. The 100g units are very linear and accurate as evidenced by Gerald Meux Balls flight with his O25000. Burned for 2 seconds with cost up to ~30K and nailed the apogee perfectly. However the acceleration measurement resolution is 1/2 the 50g version.

So if most of your flights are in the 10-20g range the 50g unit will be better for motor characterization through the MARSA Connect software.
For normal deployment duty either will do a nice job even with low acceleration flights.

The 50g units actually are good up to about 58g's.

Government shutdowns are not necessarily a bad thing especially for rocketeers who wants a MARSA54 or another one to add to their collection.

For each day the government shutdown is in effect or our leaders can't agree on a solution, MARSA Systems will take $10 off the MARSA54!

HOWEVER: As soon as an agreement is made to end the shutdown the deal is off and the price goes back to normal

Right now the discount is $50. The discount increments each day at 8am as long as there is no deal in place to end the shutdown.

When I try to use paypal the price is still $225. Is it $225-$50=$175 or?
There is no place on the paypal menu where I see the $50 rebate deducted.
Paypal forces me to pay $225+shipping.

I couldn't get the house to pass a "clean" bill... And the executive refuses to negotiate. I told her, that the result wouldn,t be a spending problem, but a revenue problem, and the incresed debt limit would be needed so I can have credit on the flying field.

I did make the first call, I put my monthly lunch with my son at hooters on the table for 6 months.. (till next spring).. There is a backroom somewhere, and no one in it!... She wouldnt even come to the negotiating table.

Looks like criminal activity will be the only way. I will start Lobying my next of kin, and the children. My son wants a new R/C anything, and the girls like shoes... perhaps that will be my ticket!...

My girlfriend's brother works on Capitol Hill, so I had the latest information on the status of the shutdown, and was going to bide my time and see how low it would go. Would have been a good opportunity to replace the two MARSA54s I lost at Balls. Oh well.

Is it printed on the label for the bag they each came in? If so, you can then use a Sharpie to mark each board.

Your's are both 100g units, (according to paypal). If you want a 50g, no problem just send one back and I will swap it for a 50g).

You can tell the difference by powering it on or looking at the accelerometer chip. The 50g part number is MMA2202, the 100g is MMA2204.

Thank you for the generous offer to return one unit. In the end I think I will just keep them both. 100G is not a bad idea in my case, as I tend to stuff large motors in small rockets anyway... :dark:
