Avid road cyclist, homebrewer and photographer...also like to shoot a little.

Late Model/Lite Pro4 oval racer that I really need to put a LOT more money into...well, not all that much, about $500 and I'm on the track. Or rather the car is. I'm smart enough to know that a 150 pound driver will go faster than my 220 pounds and I happen to have a good one, second generation raceing the same track and he weight 140 :)

I've been gathering the stuff I need to go deep sea fishing. I finally got the parts I need to overhaul a Penn Senator 6/0 114 fishing reel. I'll be rebuilding it this week :)

other than rockets, I have just started getting back into plastic models again, both aircraft and ships. I am working on an F-105D now in 1/72 scale now. First plastic model I have built in probably 15 years. I also enjoy cycling, reading and college football.

After being run down on my bike has made these former hobbies.

A near-fatal motorcycle accident contributed to the "retired" status of my former hobbies and my person - trauma induced, accelerated onset of progressive and degenerative osteoarthritis. The bad ticker is genetic.

I collect hobbies for a hobby:
RC aircraft (planes and copters)
Astrophotography
HO trains
Photography
Extra Class HAM (from back in the days when Extra meant something)
Aquarium fish
CAD and CNC machining
Programming
Microcontrollers
Kites
...

Well,

here goes.

I am a bassist, and have been for about 30 years. Mostly progressive rock and progressive metal type stuff, but I have played in straight rock cover bands, a short lived but fun Blues Brothers type horn band, and a little jazz for giggles.

I used to be into powerlifting. I am getting a bit old for the wear and tear of that so now I need to just dump weight and get into good overall shape versus only concerning myself with how much I can lift.

I am into shooting- target shooting specifically.

Throw in aquariums and home theater stuff as well.

Not so much of a hobby as it's a lifestyle...or at the very least, where my rocket money goes to.

Little bit of astronomy and astrophotography (more the astronomy. Taking good pics costs $$$ for the equipment), audio and related DAW stuff, tinkering and modding my BMW, kids and their hobbies and activities, fixing the stuff my kids and wife breaks around the house.....

As the "father" (haha) of the "anybody find anything weird in your family tree" thread I guess it's self-evident that I fiddle around in genealogy. That TRULY is a Pandora's Box type thing in that you never reach the end of more things to dig up.

she is coming along Paul! decals should start going on tonight...I am painting bombs as we speak...750 pounders of course! still a lot of work to do woth her though, she is not perfect, but a good return to the hobby I think. I'll post pictures when she is done! The F-105 is a cool looking plane...just damn sexy.

Going to have to see pics of that 105

BEGINNER rocketry, RC aircraft, computer building, basic forging and candle making.

I'm really just getting back into rockets after a long time away. I started back last summer and got sidetracked but now I'm diving in full bore again. Kind of curious though how many other hobbies we all have in common. I also fly RC helicopters and planes, mostly just a heli though. I have a HO scale model train layout too and I'm a ham radio operator. The ham radio thing is sort of a legacy from my Dad as he was a ham operator.

I am a ham radio operator also, I also shoot and reload. I am now a NRA Certified Rifle Instructor.
I also am a Hard Science Fiction Fan.

Breath Deep.

Thank you Paul. If you haven't tried fly fishing the salt, you are missing out.

The one sweet water set up, my beloved 4wt...

plastic models (actually what led me to rocketry), mt. biking, soccer

Model Railroading in N-Scale.

Somewhere on this forum is a similar topic as this on which I posted some photos of my layout so I won’t do that again.

Model Railroading in N-Scale.

Same here, only as of right now I still have a daughter occupying the room the layout will be built in!
Also, Wine (which I did build a cellar for) Jazz, Freemasonry

In addition to rocketry, I play guitar, compete regularly in candlepin bowling, try to grow gardens and have a large stamp collection (primarily US, Canada, Great Britain, Germany and France) and a small space memorabilia / astronaut autograph collection. My rocketry and stamp stuff take up most of my office/library.

Besides being a chronic rocketeer (at NARAM now, next comes L3 project, case closed), motorcycles - 200k+ mi on my HD, astronomy, model RR, tennis, classical piano -- used to be real serious at that, flying (have private license), gaming (quake 2 era), occasional forays into other stuff.

Wait... you can have more than one hobby????? My wife lied to me!
