Made a visit to the Wildman, in his natural environment. Picked up bits for locals, as well as motors for two USLI teams, which I will be delivering to them in Huntsville, tomorrow.

The best part of Wildman's natural habitat? The food...........

Cleaned up a couple of motors that had been soaking in Dawn/water. Even managed to fish the 29mm seal disk out of the garbage disposal unit...who took the screen out of the drain!?

That's all. It was Mrs. OD's birthday...a big one that ended in a zero...so we went out for breakfast this morning and this evening we met the kids and one of the grands for a nice big birthday dinner.

Cone rocket is taking shape. It took a real long tapered shroud to go from BT20 to BT80. Fins are proving to be difficult to come up with...maybe lander-type legs.

Been haveing to re-supply myself more things I'm running out of. Got 25 screw eyes comeing and went to Michaels to get balsa. First of the month it's more nosecones and body tubes as well as a large motor order to HobbyLink. 25 pack of A8-3 so I can launch in the back pasture. Prob bite the bullet and get a bunch of AT reloads with short delays, too. I've haven't used the C11's or the new E's so that's a must. I'm hopeing to do a 4th of July launch thing.. I hope. More on that later...I hope.

I started working on the add-on booster for my Semroc Maxi-Micron. Looks like a fancy de Leval nozzle.

Epoxied up the motor mount for my Estes Mega Der Red Max and dry-fitted the whole shebang for a photo op.
Later today I plan to load the pic to PhotoBucket so I can post it here.

I'm a) impressed at how big it is when it's all together, and b) amazed at how heavy it is, even without anything resembling paint.

I tested my data collection system for my research rocket.

It worked perfectly, just it didn't work with the MicroSDHC cards I bought with it (but it works with others... -_-).

I launched 21 times today at our monthly club launch. I am worn out. I hope I can catch up on my sleep at work tomorrow!

:y: HOLY CARP!!! How was the weather on Sunday? It was killing me not to be there, but Daddy-duty called. Take any pics?

And the Australian dollar is strong, so I would be silly *not* to take advantage of that ;)

Back when the shoe was on the other foot, I took advantage of it to buy all of the Angels CDs I was missing. I was such a good customer that Whammo sent me gifts.

Placed second order with Apogee, first order was for rail buttons, however when I received it one pack was missing the actual buttons, I emailed them and that day they sent a replacement pack! A1 Customer Service! I tried to place my second order before they sent it so they could throw it in with it, but I was too late!
Ordered 8' piece of 1010 from Grainger to start on the launch pad, sanded the nose cone and fins for my Mini Der Red Max and assembled the engine mount! Busy rocket day!

got some parts in the mail - thin CA, some putty to cover spirals, nomex chute protector and some 29mm motor mount tube that i'm using as a tube to pack my 24" chute into. got the battery charger/balancer from HobbyKing for my LiPo.

ditto. All I did was CA the ends of a tube....

I am headed home soon. I think I will leave CA Glue to my wife. I have nothing but bad luck.

1) glued my wedding ring on - still trying to get it all off.
2) Glued my wife's foot to the linoleum a few years ago.

Weather was pretty good, wind started out 5-10 finished 10-15, about a dozen folks launching (including myself, 9 flights), I'd bet we probably put almost a 100 birds in the air.

100? Geez, Carter almost did that all on his own.:p
According to the schedule, I have three weeks before the next launch. If it comes off, I already have the Ventris finished, but I'm also hoping to have the Mega Red Max ready to go.

Pretty. I miss my smaller max. It might still be up on the school getting rained on. All cold and sad :(

Just curious why you need to load these to photo bucket before posting? I would guess file size limitations.

Repainted the outside of the small inner tubes on my Long Over Due. When I masked them yesterday to paint the inside, the masking tape pulled off a lot of the outside topcoat. Tomorrow, glue it all together, Friday clear coat and then fly on Saturday.

Put the Deuce98 in the storage unit. Cleaned the motor cases and downloaded the altimeters.

Finished up my Astron Sprint XL by spraying on the clear coat to protect the decals.

My next build will be the new Blenders kit by Estes. These look like they'll be fun.

Improved the recovery system in my Arreaux.

Hung my MPR scratch build from my room's ceiling.

I sanded out the lumps in my fin fillets caused by some impatient moron running his finger down them after they started to set. Why can I never learn this lesson?

Mine is up in one of the trees around B6-4 Field. For a while I could still see it, but it's disappeared at this point. Probably fell, but not much left worth salvaging by now.
I just like to use PhotoBucket because the pics turn out bigger.

Went out and looked on the porch for the package from LOC that the tracking system said would be delivered today.

No joy. My mail dude is pretty sketchy so I'll be lucky to see it this week if not next week.
