hey fellas. just letting you all know that im still active in rocketry, mainly lpr and an occasional F flight at the local field. anyway, haven't been able to participate in any formal rocket related activities lately due to some life changing events...so i'll start with...

im engaged to a wonderful woman...no date is set right now for the wedding, but within the next 18 months.

im also going to be a father in 1 month this day. july 13th is the due date for my little baby boy...in preperation, my time has been pretty much completely consumed. been working overtime, building baby cribs and dressers, etc. and we moved into our own place. so it's been hectic. anyway, hopefully in the future me and the little one can get back into this hobby full force. you know, start him young. heh. good luck to all, im thinking my hands will be tied for the next 18 years or so.

(ps, nice digs on the new site!)

R1, Good to hear from you again! I'm learning about babies all over again, became a grandfather about 6 months ago, I love it! You will too.
Good luck to you and your new family,

wick

Congratulations on the engagement and the coming birth! My little guy turns one in a few days. The first time I took his picture with an actual smile (not gas) he was holding the forward BT and NC of my USS Odyssey. Good luck I hope your little guy is as fun as mine is.

heck ya you will!!! Im trying to get some 3" and 4" lined up for my show. That all depends if I can get Class C with hazmat between now and then.

you know FPI is delivering to the show right? they stock up to 3" chinese style salutes (so they're cut with BP to keep the flash comp down to 2.5oz...the legal limit). but brett is trying to get some american ones that weigh in at 5lbs!!! :eyepop:

Im trying to avoid buying more and more product when I make my own 3-6" shells. I need to talk with Brett and see if there is a way to sign my product into his mag and get him to transport it in.

We shall see how it goes!!! Stupid DOT :bangbang:

only possible way is for you to actually have a manufacturing license, and for brett to take them in commerce...and if you dont have a CDL, he would have to pick them up from you, or you would have to arrange transport with a CDL with hazmat. at least from what i understand.

MD is a horrible state for transportation. They don't believe in in or out of commerce as I understand. Normally you can make/transport get a permit and fire homeade fireworks out of commerce without a HEMP. But I think MD requires placarded transportation for anything. So I may be able to get the shells signed into his permit and meet him to "transfer" the goods.
