Another cracking good build!!! Do me me a favor. Every time you make centering rings or bulkheads. Make twice as many and send me the spares and a bill!! you can never have too many!!

KUTGW!

That`s a very good idea with the half hole in the tape ,I like that !! Did you use a hole punch for that ?

I think what you have is just plain old fashioned paint seepage, it happens.Taking off the tape as soon as you can is always a good idea ,as paint can dry to the top od the tape and when you go to peel it off ,it may at times pull up the underlying paint as well.......it happens

At any rate ,the pink and black combo looks very cool and in your face.......I like it !!

Take care Jim !

I love the fins on that! Very cool!

I've been fooling around with open fins for some years. Funny, they're starting to get a little popular. Here's another one I did about 10 years ago. It's called Orchido. (Or kee" doh) Both fly excellent. The paint job sucks on Orchido but I've learned a few methods since then.

I keep telling folks to lay down the tape and then shoot a light coat of the base color over the edge of the to seal the seepage. The base color seepage is invisible. Then spray the trim color. Comes out perfectamundo.

Looks great! What motor are you planning on flying it on for its first launch? It's just begging for a sparky load

I'm actually thinking about an H178 Dark Matter. It sims to about 1700ft on it, but will probably go less than that.

When I ordered the colored rail buttons, I also ordered some extra washers. I got some longer screws and added a third washer to each to raise them up off the body a bit.

My son doesn't like the green mascot on the pink, but I think he looks cool. Mark sent some extra decals, so I put one of the mascot on the back. Overall I'm very happy with this one. It was a fast, easy, fun build.

I like it! I like it a lot!

Black text on pink is always a good decision. I'm pleased you went with the contrast factor. This rocket looks great. Now we want vids. Gotta have vids.

Unless we get some serious rain this month, I'll have to wait until October or November.

Don't know what your work is like or schedule. Maybe we've discussed this before (still a little groggy from the lower and upper GI today ) ... ROC-Stock is a three day event in June. It's a good 8 hour drive for you. Maybe more. But being three days, maybe it would be worth it? Maybe you and Kit make the trek? People camp on the playa. It's a good time. Meet Mr Stickershock and his traveling rocket party! ;)

The only 'issue' is the wind can be unpredictable.

You know, I've actually thought about going to a Lucerne launch before. It's about a 7 hour drive for me. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go, but I'd sure like to some day.

Correction... ROCStock is in July this year... I know because I was asking for some time off at work and checked the website for the date and it is in July. And they also moved Novembers' to December.

Great build, Quake. Looks cool!!!

Man that's cool! I think the colors rock!!

This is an awesome build! I really like it. I've got 3 projects going now, but have never done a HP scratch build. I would like to build one of these down the road if you don't mind me borrowing your work.

Jim,That came out great!!!!Really like the Gloss Black.I to like the decals.Should be a good flying rocket.

Got the retention clips made. I used 1/8" x 1/2" aluminum.

You do always make great looking clips Jim, I`ve seen none nicer !

You could probably sell those ,as a lot of people just cannot or will not make them for whatever reason. Those you make look solid and light and plain well made.

Nice !
