What is your favorite model rocket to launch?

I had a rocket launch with my brothers last week. We launched several different rockets including the following -

Estes Dude
Estes Honest John
Estes Helicat
Estes Executioner
Estes Sentinel (2 x 18 mm cluster)
US Rockets Interroc (3 x 24 mm cluster)

My favorite was the Estes Executioner on a E9-4 engine. I am looking for some other cool model rockets to add to my fleet. What is your favorite model rocket to launch and why?

My favorite is my Estes R2-D2, which I modified during construction to use D-engines. I only launch it on special occasions, and you never really can be quite sure it'll make it back home in 1 piece !

Bullpup because of the extra nose weight and a D motor pushing it the motor makes a cool crackling sound.

Ah I loved my Executioner, 'til a forward closure failed and toasted it.

But it's been replaced by a Super Big Bertha. Why? Its big and flies like an Executioner, kids recognize it as looking like their Big Bertha and it flies well on BP and APCP depending on the field size.

it was once the Fat boy & V2.. (Until teh V2 got hung in a tree!! for an whole winter!!)

My Stormcaster has typically always had at elast one lauch at my launches..

And my Stealth Jr. typcally goe sup at least once or twice at each laucnh too..

My favourite, certainly one of my most frequently flown, is probably my approximate scale model of the Skylark sounding rocket. Usually it flies single stage, but if conditions are right, an extended nose cone replaces the usual short one at the front and a booster goes on the back for a two-stage flight.

Made with BT-55 tubing, it can reach a reasonable height yet still have a good chance of returning, and that size tube means it's easy to pack the streamer or parachute but does not eat much wadding.

I like them all (well, except for my Astron Invader clones, maybe), but I'm kind of partial to clusters and multi-stagers (and gliders built by other people -- i.e., ones that actually boost and glide, unlike mine ). If I had to name two, I would have to say my Upscaled Midget and my cloned FSI Hercules (3x24mm). And I like to see Saturns being flown (all varieties - 1's, 1B's, V's). But I have a few dozen rockets built that I have not flown yet, and many of my others have only been flown once. So my answer is tentative at best.

It is an original Semroc design from 1970, and their best IMHO; I love the 3-tiered design, and it was a real challenge to build; After the first launch, I exclusively launch it on 7 motors, which is always great fun, and gets lots of attention. I've burned more motors on this bird than any other one I own.

I want to ask you about this one.

I've had one in the package for a long time. Partly this is because I want to do the 7x cluster bit but on the field I usually use, that guarentees I will not get it back.

Have you ever tried it with 7x smaller motors like B's or even A's?

I've launched it on a number of small motor combos for our small flying field, a couple of which I've put on emrr. I built it with 3 open motor tubes, for deployment redundancy. My typical is to use 3xB6-4 + 4xB6-0, but have also used 3xA8-5 + 4xC6-0 (very nice flight) & 3xB6-4 + 4xA10-PT (not as nice, the A10's burn out so fast, I'd use A8 or A3 motors next time). Haven't tried any 7 motor A clusters yet. My seat-of-the-pants guess says it would be fine on 7xA8-3, maybe 400'.
