Enerjet Clone - fin can question

I've been doing some reading about the Enerjet 1340 and some of the clones that others have been building. Seems like a pretty neat, durable model that can be built to use from 18mm engines all the way up to E's depending on the mount used. Here's a shot of someone else's project I found on the net. (I'm not sure who it belongs to, but it's nicely done...if you know drop me a line and I'll add the attribution...)

Anyway, I'm in the process of lining up the parts and just today I found the PNC-56A nose cone that I needed, but I'm having trouble finding the plastic fin can for the project.

From what I'm reading, I should be able to use the fin can from an Estes Maniac, Longshot, Eliminator or Challenger II. Does anyone have any extras laying around or a source for those?

I could call Estes, but I'm not exactly sure if they'll sell to me (not a dealer) or if they even stock it.

Any ideas?

Estes does not sell directly to individual customers because they want to support their brick and mortar retailers (hobby shops, Walmart, etc.). It sure would be nice if they did offer this fin can either as an individually packaged part or included in a parts assortment.

Back when I was building my models, I was able to call Estes direct and order the fins cans and nose cones. I don't think you can do that anymore.

I think the fin can comes in the currently available Estes Eliminator.

Thanks guys... Bob, your model looks great. Do you have the overall length of your clone handy? I'm trying to get the body tubes ordered.

Just tried to call Estes at lunch... seems like there's no easy way to get through to them and talk to a real person. I guess I might try the email venue with their customer service dept.

I suppose I could buy an Eliminator or an old Longshot kit if I can find one, but I hate to bash up those kits if I can just find the fin unit someplace.
