I got another deal on Gun Broker. 200 Sierra Outdoor Master 124 grain 9mm . Bid was $77. Delivered $110. These prices are like potato chips. Once you have had one you can't stop. I really don't need 500 .45 FMJ or 500 68 grain 5.56 match. But it's cheap. And after the shortage I'm building up a big stockpile. I keep telling myself, you have plenty. And then I answer, you can't have too much.
You can never be too rich, too skinny, or too well armed!

Bought another lot of ammo from Gun Broker. This time it was 200 rounds of Sig Elite 147 grain 9mm. My bid was $101. $131 delivered. That's 65.5 cents a round. FMJ sometimes goes for more than that. One lot of 500 .45 FMJ was at .68 cents and still had a day to go. Just crazy. I can practice with my defensive loads cheaper than with FMJ's. I'm watching some heavy 5.56 too.

Wet outside so I went down rabbit hole.

This guy is on Facebook as

Lots of very cool pictures and videos of work in progress.

If you run out of "rabbit hole", there's this...
http://www.fega.com/Default.aspThey have a FB page, also, along with some of their Master Engravers, like Sam Alfano.
And if you enjoy knives, check out some of the late Jim Weyer's books: "Points of Interest"...

Received a 200 round case of 9mm Sig Elite V crown HP today. Also got 45 pounds of Ammonium Nitrate for exploding rifle targets. I'll make some up the next time I go shooting. I inventoried some of my ammo. Bought some ammo cans and generally straightened up the shelf. I discovered I don't need any more shotgun shells. I have over 1000 rounds of 00 Buckshot. I only did a shelf and not the cabinet. I have cases of more ammo in there. Ammo is like potato chips. Once you start it's hard to stop. I look at ammo like an investment. If I check out early my wife will get a bunch of money out of my collections.

I received 200 rounds of Sierra 9mm HP today. Ordered some 5.56 match ammo from Midway. Midway has Nosler .45 acp HP's for sale at 58 cents per round. Ordered some of those too. I have a .45 acp AR pistol coming. Already have a brace. I'll SBR it when it comes in. After 10 years of looking I finally found a complete Uzi receiver. $500. The only other one I have seen was $1000. At $1000 might as well just buy the gun. Years ago I bought a box of Uzi parts. So now I have 3 sets of complete parts and now a receiver. I have an armorer's CD to remind me how to put it together. When I worked at the last range I could take them apart and put them back together no problem. Only difference was the ones I worked on were full auto. I'm going to give myself a birthday present of a Sig 938. 9mm and small. It will be my summer concealed carry gun. Today I turned my CCW renewal paperwork in at the Sheriff's office.

I have several rifles with iron sights I hunt with.
If you are really hunting, not just shooting game, it’s too close to use a scope.
I made this rifle to hunt with.
It has all the things a long range gun would have except for the scope
Single shot Remington action
6.5x47 Lapua cartridge
McMillan stock
Jewell trigger
Etc
Front sight is a Ruger, only stainless barrel band sight I could find.

I just finished this fancy two gun rig. It's made for Cowboy Action Shooting, that's why it kind of looks backwards, the shell loops go in front. The big pocket shaped loops are for shot shell, two per loop. The revolvers are Ruger Stainless Bisley Vaqueros. 4 3/8" bbl, 44 mag. These two are consecutive serial #s. I don't think that there is more than a million stitches in the leather. I don't have a leather sewing machine so it's all stitched by hand.

There’s a group that does Cowboy Mounted Shooting near me. Definitely a interesting way to spend time on the back of your horse. They use two holsters, but only one is on your hip. The other is in front, because they only use one hand (at least the ones I’ve seen). Some of those guys spent just as much if not more on the holsters than they did on the guns…

Yep, mounted shooting requires a cross-draw. A double strong side rig requires a lot of juggling guns, reins, etc.

Here is something to give the ATF fits. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. The Uzi is being GunKote'd grey. Hope to get it back this week. Put the SBR paperwork in for the AR45 and a Spikes lower.View attachment 579445
Flamethrowers are even legal in CA but they require a range limited model. Probably not the most practical home defense item.

You might be surprised! Getting stabbed requires that someone be brave enough to confront you within striking range. Getting shot, while it might be an existential threat in some conditions, the prevailing mentality of mobs is 'they can't shoot us all'.......but FIRE......lots and lots and lots of folks are horrified by the thought of burning to death, especially once that wave of heat blasts it's warning to EVERYONE in range!

That said, the one that I have is just a toy, but it's a super satisfying toy to play with!

Remember it is Pacific Pesos currency though.

Also Australian made, and firearms are expensive here anyway, even taking into account exchange rates.

It is a straight-pull but I am allowed to turn it into a pump. That suits my left-handed shooting.

It felt very well balanced.

I will also have a look at a WFA1-L before I decide.

Pretty reasonable accuracy. I am looking at the 300 Blackout version. The 223 Wylde would be too close to my existing 22-250 as far as shooting goes. I don't see any point having two almost identical firearms.

Will you be shooting supersonic or sub? If subsonic, can you get a suppressor. I have a Ruger Mini 30 in 7.62x39 and found some subsonic loads. Louder than my .22 subsonic through a suppressor but still hearing safe through a .30 suppressor.
