I think I posted the cat in the box before. I took 7 cats into Vegas yesterday to the Spay and Neuter clinic. When I got home I was unpacking the car and the 4 kitten/cats were in it like a shot. Sniffing and wandering all around the inside. If I had been faster with the phone I would have gotten a picture of one of them standing in the drivers seat with his paws on the steering wheel. I kept telling them, no scratching. They listened too. Next time I take cats into Vegas I'll get a picture of them in the back of the Explorer.20230106_003707[1855].jpg20230208_191601[1992].jpg

Today we had to put down our lovely cat Dexter. He has had various sarcomas removed over the past year, and the recently removed one came back after only three weeks. He also developed cancer in his eye this week. The best cat we have ever had. Personality plus, and more like a dog. Very sad times. At least now he has no pain and is better off. If there is a heaven he is definitely there. Only the good die young. He was six.

He spent the last two days outside, in the sun and sitting quietly. I hope he was happy for his last couple of days. He was as comfortable as we could make him.

Sad news. In 2016 in my Lunar Module Quadcopter thread (https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/flying-r-c-lunar-module-quadcopter-project.137174/post-1697366), and post #31 of this thread 2 years ago, I posted this pic of "Teddy".

He almost always looked at your face, just as above. Not your feet, as his brother tends to do.

Teddy was not my cat, but belonged to friends. Yet I felt like he was partly my cat too, and they agree.

He developed diabetes, ate less and less, lost so much weight, and had to be put down today.

I feel fortunate to have been over to their house Sunday, and petted Teddy for awhile, while I was there, and he followed us around. He acted like normal (normal given the weight loss and some weakness which was true for months), not like the end was so near.

Sweet kitty.

Luna, my nightstalker, has been gone for two weeks. This afternoon I officially gave up that she’d be coming back this time.

At midnight, who do I see looking in patio door?

She’ll stay inside for 3 days, resting and fattening up again.
Good news!

Here is a picture I took last night. Got a set of shocks in to build for a customer. A little background, some racing divisions have a 'claim rule' for various components to keep costs down (in theory). It can be complete engines, carbs, shocks or probably another hundred components. Anyway, I went to build the shocks and Olive decided they were hers. I texted my customer that I had good and bad news. Good news was that I got his parts, bad news my cat already claimed the shocks. I got an lol. . .
