I have noticed you like AFL. Yes, Essendon (Bombers) absolutely trounced Hawthorn (Hawks). FYI, they are both suburbs of Melbourne ;) .

Personally I follow St Kilda (Saints). Also a suburb :) .
I watched a bit of the first quarter. the Hawks started out in the lead, but Essendon quickly overtook them. I'd like it a lot more if it wasn't on in the middle of the night (and if they covered more matches). No favorite team, yet.

I discovered that someone took exception to my mail box. They had pretty good aim took it in the center of the grill. Heh, they left a license plate behind, the deputy was planning to visit them.

downloaded a program called "Friture" which is a spectrum anaylyzer to display on the pc screen of what frequencies are in the music ...highly recommended for music lovers.

Yesterday, walked all day without crutches!!!!!! The purpose of 75% weight bearing this week was to become stable when walking. That isn't a problem, and there is no risk to the pelvis from walking, so I'm done with the crutches.

Today: 1) Hardest workout on bike yet, and felt good. Also, my new cycling shoes are tremendous. First time I've had heat moldable carbon shoes, and they are amazing once molded...do have a couple blisters on my fingers from the molding process. 2) Ceviche for lunch on Sunday lunch date with wife. 3) put carpet un workout area of garage to prevent slipping when walking in cycling cleats and generally nice up the place.

Come on, take it easy, you worry me trying to see how fast you can be back to your previous shape.

I appreciate the concern, and it may not sound like it, but I'm actually very careful. Because I currently track and have a lot of historic data on heart rate, resting heart rate variability, cycling power data, oxygen utilization efficiency data, etc. (I'm very much a telemetarized human) I have a very good feel for when my body, or part, needs a rest, and I listen...the resting heart rate variability was low Thursday night, so that says take Friday as a rest day, so I did for example. I also have a lot of experience with productive pain versus injury pain. My PT guy, who has worked with many professional and amateur athletes (and wannabes like me) along with my orthopedic surgeon have discussed extensively what pain to be mindful of and what is expected/normal.

I'm being very careful with the knee as it is not good...I see a sports medicine doc on Friday to get that under management. "Fortunately" the issue (big hole in articular cartilage) only comes into play near 100% extension, which isn't something you do in cycling. I suspect I'm not going to be able to run on it (in 9 months when I'm allowed to run on hip) so I may focus on the "cycling bucket list" the next few years to put off the inevitable (doctors words) knee replacement.

Saints are Melbourne-based. You might be thinking of the Sydney Swans. Originally South Melbourne Swans, but moved interstate when the comp went national.

You must be one of those rugby supporters...

My complete disinterest in AFL is tempered only by Richmond being in a Grand Final, in which case I watch, cheer my partner's team dutifully and have another beer.

Not into rugby. Not sure why grown men want to stick their heads up other people's bums and call it a scrum. Whatever in your private time boys, but in front of thousands of people?

Inspected the traps in the attic for dead rodents. None found, but they've eaten some of the peanut butter used as bait. /sigh

I'm going to need to find alternate methods of handline them.

got caught up on season 7 of the girl from Holland that rides her dirt bike all over the world and she is now in Northern Africa around Morocco so most of the episodes are about 20 to 25 minutes long. the last season was 140 episodes.

Thought the physical therapist was trying to rip my leg off and beat me with it...he only partially denied the allegation.

Threw in the towel on getting the chain set correctly after installing a new derailleur and handed it off to the neighborhood bike shop. They sorted it and showed me where I went wrong. Parts and labor to fix my mistakes was about $120.

Then they showed me issues with chainring wear and both brake calipers. That'll be another $200 in parts before I'm back on the road, but it'll have to wait for another day.

Bike maintenance has been more expensive than car repair lately. Yikes 😳.

“Worked with a local stone mason to remove a large rock obstructing a main drainage canal junction causing problems from the local quarry…”

By that I mean I had a Gastroenterologist remove (ERCP) a gallstone from my common bile duct that was obstructing operations in a painful way.

Drove my friends from Oregon to the airport in Las Vegas. Now I have all the winnings to bet next weekend. Bets will be coming forth. While I was in Vegas I went to a pharmacy there. Then over to the Ford dealer for an oil change. Shouldn't have shown up at lunch time. Two hour wait. I'll get it another time. Got a delivery from Midway. 250 12 gauge 00 buck shot. Heavy. Played with the cats.

Went snow skiing Sunday with rental skis. Wore me out after four runs.
Yesterday, I cleared a foot of snow off the back patio so I could access the wood pile. Spent most of the day watching snow fall and feeding the fireplace. Also cleared snow off the Nissan pickup and started it. No, we're not in Arizona this week....

He removed them and glued on new ones.
I thought fixing them didn't involve replacement. i have a remote for my hospital type bed that has contact/intermittent button operation. I've taken it apart but haven't been able to fix it yet. i was looking for a cure.

Potential cures depend on the type of button. Is it a conducive pad type and the pads deteriorating? If so, replacement is pretty easy. Clean the metal contacts while you're at it. If the conductive pads are in good shape, clear the metal contacts anyway. If it's some other type, and you can get at the contacts of whatever sort they may be, clean them. It's amazing how often cleaning something fixes whatever ails it. Also, check for bad solder joints.
